The cutest thing . . .

This morning I took out a carton of eggs to boil some so I could make egg salad.

Daniel saw what I was doing and asked, "Are you making Easter eggs?" I said, "No, these are just for us to eat."

He went on his merry way playing, and I was doing some chores at the back of the house.

In a few minutes, he comes running down the hallway hollering, "Hey Mama, the eggs are hatching, the eggs are hatching!"

He was hearing them knocking around in the pan. So cute!!!! :heart: Makes my heart feel happy.

That is cute. Just a few days ago I got eggs out to make a cake and my 7 yr old daughter came in just as I was about to start cracking them. She asked if she could have the baby chicken if there was one in any of the eggs. Ummm.... not so much!

My 6 year old thinks that if you leave your Easter Eggs long enough, it will hatch a tiny plastic dinosaur. His daycare teacher did that for one of the boys last year. So one night last May I remembered why he was waiting, and had to cut his egg in half, scrape out the inside of the (very stinky) hardboiled egg, wash it up without streaking the egg dye, and then put it back on display, but with a little dinosaur peeking out.

He's convinced that is going to happen again this year, if he waits long enough.... :giggle:
