How do I make images 100K? Gallery Questions

I made a layout for the color green challenge, but its too big to upload. I dont know how to save it so its not too big. Right now the image is 500x500 and 265 KB, saved in jpg. I'm not even sure where KB and K rank with eachother, I just know Im over the limit.

Also with galleries, once I get them sized the correct amount, if I upload it in say the Color Challenge Album, will it also go into my own personal album? Or do I need to upload twice? I have never done this sort of thing before, and I admit to being a little green with the uploading/gallery stuff.

What program are you using? Photoshop has a "Save for Web" feature that reduces the file size.

oh sorry, I forgot to say. Its Paint Shop Pro VS 8. I read about the save for web in the post above, but didnt see anything like that in the PSP.

You might try posting your question in THIS (http://www.thedigichick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=74) forum. There are lots of people who use PSP so I'm sure someone will be able to answer your question.
