I am lucky - my weekend where I live in the middle east is Thursday and Friday. Some countries here it is Friday and Saturday.
We had a big weekend with the swim meet. DS got 10 golds and came first overall. You can read about that here.

So what are your plans for the weekend?

Was that hard to get used to the different days for the weekend? I was lucky that in Turkey it's Saturday and Sunday, so I didn't have to get used to anything different!
Today DH is working, but tomorrow should be fun. Church and then to my family's house to celebrate Jasmine's birthday. (she says "four again?" because we celebrated it on the day of, last week. I guess she figures a second party should mean another year :giggle:) One of my brothers hasn't met Hudson yet, so I'm looking forward to the time

Hmm . . . it's gorgeous here today, so I might head out without kids and get myself a coffee. However, DH just got back from an early morning walk for Relay For Life, and I would hate to stick him with the kids when he is so tired.
I plan to paint my garage sale finds (http://ratzlafffamily.blogspot.com/), then we have a BBQ later this afternoon. I just want to spend ALL day outside!! However, I really should do a little bit of designing . . .

probably won't have much computer time today or tomorrow since my Dad will be staying with us.

Kicked off the weekend with a date night with the hubby last night. We went to a club with my BIL and his GF for her birthday. It was okay. The DJ didn't play good dance music and a thirty something year old mama just didn't fit in. LOL! Still had a good time with my hubby because it sure it is rare to have 2 date nights within in 2 weeks.
Today, I'm heading out in a few to Joshy's last basketball game. This afternoon, we have a birthday party for a 3yo boy. It'll be a nice warm day so the pool at the party will be put to good use. Doubt I'll be swimming but always good to hang out with our friends.
Sunday, my plans are to go for a morning jog and possibly hit the farmer's market after. What I would really like, is for DH to ride his bike with me tomorrow but who knows how he'll feel at 8am. The rest of the day is pretty much fair game as to our activities. I'll most likely scrap my year in review challenge layouts.
Enjoy your weekend! I know I will!

No cleaning going on here today. Tired after the weekend and the dust is still coming in through ever possible entry into the house.
I have a date tonight - with a shopping mall...lol.
A friend asked me if I want to catch the compound bus and go out for a coffee. Having been a bit of a recluse for the last couple of years I am going. This is a big deal for me and I am really looking forward to mooching around the shops.
I could even wear my jammies under my black sak...lol.
But I won't. :)

Last night Olivia went to a birthday sleepover and Daniel went to spend the night with his Nanny. Jay and I picked up frozen Chinese food and watched Australia. Ummm, too long and wasn't a fave of mine for sure. Then we hung out for a while playing around on our respective computers (we are back to back). We were able to sleep in.
This morning, we did a quick cleanout of Daniel's room while he was gone. Put stuff in a big bag and it goes in the shed. If he doesn't ask for a particular item in a couple of weeks, off to the charity shop it goes. We also bagged up some stuff that we've been hoarding in the laundry room to take to the charity shop as well. Daniel was home at noon and Olivia came home at 3 pm.
Daniel and I got in his wading pool (NOOOOO pics of that one ladies :giggle:) but it was freezing as it became very overcast as soon as we decided to go out. We are back inside now and I've got to start thinking about dinner plans.
Tomorrow my mom and I are driving to see some good friends of the family that live over in Cottonwood AL (little town outside Dothan) as his mother just passed away. Not a great reason for a trip, but I really love my "aunt" and "uncle" and look forward to spending some time with them. Jay is going to keep Daniel and Olivia.
That's about it for me . . . oh wait! Scrapping! Gotta throw that in there somewhere. LOL

I just want to spend ALL day outside!!
Ugh! I am too pregnant and it is too warm here for this to sound like fun for me anymore! :giggle: It says it's about 70 degrees outside, but I'm feeling more like it's 80 and I just hate being so warm! I love being pregnant when it's January... but having these summer babies? whew. :P
Might go out for pizza tonight to a new (to us) place. Then tomorrow we're driving out to see my in-laws for a bit. :D

My MIL came to visit this weekend (it's a good thing, really!). She brought me a whole bunch of plants for my flower beds, so we're about half done planting. She brought me a ton of lilies, which I love! including this one (http://www.hillcrestharmony.com/Delisle-dandy.htm) that she actually invented (I know invented is the wrong word, I just cannot think of the right one LOL).

It's been known to happen.:innocent:But not me..LOL.
I also know someone who went out in her bathers/swimmers. Her abiyah got stuck on something - elevator steps I think and it caused quite a stir. :giggle:
It didn't take long to get used to the weekends. I have been here ten years now so it is normal. Having said that I often say when thinking of saturday - oh well do that on Monday. Sunday becomes Tuesday. It is almost like your mind is so ingrained in the western day week that it automatically computes the first working day as Monday - even though here it is Saturday.
I keep everyone confused. :idiot:
I was out looking at furniture last night. Just looking mind you. The houses here come furnished so we can't buy anything - but I can drool. :D
That flower looks lovely - bet it is even better in real life.
Can't wait to read that home made sausage recipe too.
Hmm..did I miss anyone? My brain isn't in gear yet today...LOL

Did they survive the snow we just had? Don't you just love spring in Edmonton?! My youngest asked me if it was winter again yesterday. :giggle:
