I've been storing my kids pencils and stuff in old tubs which looked a bit naff then inspiration struck and look what I made! :jump:

Getting it to print the right size was SUCH a pain, but I kinda got there in the end!

Now how long do you reckon it'll take my two-year old to rip?

Too cute!! Why can't two year olds appreciate the beauty and all the work that went into that cute little project? :giggle:

Oh, that's adorable! Here's hoping that it survives. Great snapshot, too! I'm jealous. My camera was not being kind to me the other day. :P

Totally cute!!

I made some hybrid canned veggies for my 5yo's play kitchen recently (just covered the plain plastic cans with digi-veggie labels). For some reason, our one year old thinks she ought to EAT the paper labels! We are, once again, a label-less play kitchen ;)

Hint: Go buy a roll of clear contact (shelving) paper (for about $4 from Walmart, Kmart, etc.) and cover the pretty label so it'll last quite a while!

DOH! I have some of that in my pantry.....sitting unused. Thanks for that reminder.
Now to go print some more of those labels - - HA!

Adorable project and I'm sure the clear contact paper will help it hold up longer.

I've just had to google to find out what clear contact paper is! I feel like such a foreigner! I've always called it sticky-backed plastic. Not sure what it's actually called in shops, I think that's a term from childrens TV (Blue Peter, anyone?!) but I know where to find it. I always used to have to cover my school exercise books in it.

Thankfully, my littlest has got past the eating everything stage. Now I just have to watch she's not ripping or stamping. I'll be keeping the pots on a shelf she can't reach (her sister is trusted with colouring implements, she is definitely not!) as well!

:giggle:

thankfully, that is one problem I did not have with any of my kids! Nope, mine were the ones that snuck scissors to give themselves haircuts!!! My middle child (who is also my youngest boy) took scissors to his hair the night before school photos 2 years in a row! he cut straight up his forehead for the start of a reverse mohawk look!

:giggle: now, but not funny then!!! LOL

Gorgeous!! Love the colours you chose. Contact is awesome for protecting things from little ones! My girls made some of these things the other day http://analteredlife.com/2009/07/28/recycled-oatmeal-boxes/ Don't you just love recycling.
