Opinions please!

I'm super excited that within the next month I will be the proud owner of a 15' Mackbook Pro! Yippee. My DH is buying it for me with some extra school loan money. :loveshower: He's bought a new mac for himself 2 years in a row. Now it's my turn! :jump:

So, now I can't decide if I want a glossy or anti-glare screen. I have a macbook with a glossy screen. I have a hard time in the sunlight working, ya know all that time I spend on the beach. lol No, really I work in the van while DH is driving. Anyway, I read that maybe the matte would be better.

So, do any of you have a screen preference? Please tell me all about your preference and computer and how you use it!

I had to click the last option. LOL. I seriously have no idea. I use the one I have and it's fine. I don't have a problem with glare. (Don't ask me which one I have as once again.....no idea. OK, as a wild guess I might have PC matt. :D)

Okay I went with PC Glossy (I can't really compare it to the macs as i don't have any experience with them). I went with the glossy when i bought my new laptop as i find the image is sharper. That being said I very rarely use my laptop outdoors so glare isn't really a problem but on the odd time i have taken it out, the glare does get a little annoying.

If you're worried about glare i'd definately go for the matte screen.

i LOVE my matte screen! i scrap a lot in the car when we are traveling to see relatives, and it works PERFECTLY ... i had a glossy PC screen b/4 my mac and could never see anything. my SIL just got the 15 inch w/ the glossy screen and now she wishes she had gotten matte ... b/c she hates to see the fingerprints, etc that get on the glossy screen ... LOL ...

so ... my vote was DEFINITELY mac matte :)

That is exactly what I'm concerned about. It hurts my eyes terribly in the van with the glossy.

I had a Mac matte desktop, then it broke and they replaced it with a glossy screen. I was afraid I'd hate it really bad (DH has a glossy laptop and the glare is terrible) but it's not too bad for me, luckily. The windows are not behind me so I don't have glare problems. But for a laptop, definitely, I think the glossy is terrible!!
I voted mac matte. :smile:
