OKay some of you know but my grammie passed away Thursday night after being diagnosed with lung cancer 2 months ago! he raised me pretty much:heart: I never had to deal with death so close to home but I can tell you families are VULTURES!!! I made the decision not to go to the funeral due to the fact they are being NASTY!!! Not to me but to my MOM!!! My mom sat there everyday till she died and cleaned her up when she did die! I cannot believe the crap families pull when someone dies. Its disgusting! My mom isnt going either! The amount of crap talking all my relatives are doing to one another, I dont need! I will go off LOL I am going to go to say my goodbyes ALONE after the funeral is over! Sorry needed to vent! There is so much more to the story but its like a soap opera:giggle:
Whats sad is I miss her SO MUCH!!! and this isnt what she would have wanted although apparently she kept secrets noone knew about lol! I was like who doesnt have secrets:giggle:
Has anyone else had to deal with family garbage like that? lol

Families do get VERY ugly when someone dies!!! It's a real shame.
My own sister is going to get that way. The gossip. The hatred to other people is just unreal.
When my grandmother passed she was right there with her hand out announcing 'this is mine' or 'I want that'
She took almost everything from my grandmothers kitchen & one of her bedroom sets!!
It's such a shame that the death of a loved one brings out the ugliness in so many people!!!
I'm sorry you have to go through this Carly!! I feel for you. If you need to vent & talk I totally understand & I'm here!!!

I don't blame you for being crabby. It's unbelievable how some people can behave. We had similar when my grandmother died.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Carly. I hope you can ignore all the bad behaviour
Best wishes xx

You know, it seems like in major life events, deaths, births weddings....emotions are so high for everyone involved that the tension brings out the absolute best and worst in people. It's unfortunate to have to deal with the drama when truly this should just be a time of mourning and fond remembrance. Carly, I pray peace for your family - especially you and your mom - I hope that you are able to get through this loss without the unnecessary ickiness bringing you down. ((HUGS))

Hugs Carly.
Funerals are ugly. We had a horrible experience when my Dad died. It was so awful with the way both sides of the family.
Hugs and I think you and your Mom made a great decision.

not sure if there is a funeral service or viewing but most funeral homes will allow some private time for part of the family when things like the happen. you just need to ask :)
hugs Carly - family can be the best part of life and at the same time the worst!

Sorry for your loss Carly.
My ex is going through all that with his mother. She passed in November and it's still not over. The younger brother got the will changed 2 days before she passed........and has messed things up so bad that the estate can't be released.
Our son was left money for education but he has put it in an account for our son but in his name. I have to resort to a lawyer so I can get it put in an RESP for him. This brother is the type that would look at our son and decide IF he agrees with his choices........*sigh*
I feel for you and your and family.

oh carly, sweety, i am so very sorry to hear this is happening to you and your mother. i never fail to understand the complete selfishness that can grip the heart of a person. it's a shame. i'll be praying for you, and for them, that they would begin to see their behavior for what it is and want to change. hang in there girl!
