We went to church, then went to my MIL's for lunch and I helped her organize her kitchen (yes, organization is my thing, maybe I need to go edit that "getting to know you" thread with that as my hidden talent you should know about). She just moved a few months ago and her cabinets were still a bit of a mess. Then we came home and went go-cart and ATV riding for a bit and scouted out some Passion Flowers for pictures and took some cuttings. Now I'm trying to find a good oatmeal cookie recipe with whole wheat flour to make for my kids' snacks next week. Was going to make some yummy whole wheat banana bread, but I'm out of brown sugar :( . Oh, and working my way through the mountain of laundry, thank goodness for my front loading washer!
So, what did you guys do today?
ETA: Here's the passion flower. My DH found this in the pasture the other day and send me a photo of it and a couple days later, at my retreat at a state park, I saw a photo of it on the wall, touted as one of their wildflowers growing in the park...oh, and um, I hope no one is arachnophobic, but I thought the spider looked really cool on this one.

hmmm... well, I woke up late this morning (late being 8:30) because we had a long night of ear-achiness from my 2nd oldest. My in-laws were here visiting for the weekend, so we ended up missing church this morning :( but I was able to go this evening, which was wonderful! Other than that, we had a tea party this afternoon with my daughter, watched a movie, played outside, made dinner, did a bit of laundry...nothing out of the ordinary or exceptional. all in all though it was a good day!

We cleaned the house this afternoon (it's very exciting, since I had a diaper box full of papers and *things* that needed homes, and the diaper box is now empty and on its way out of the house :D) and went to MIL's to celebrate two birthdays: MIL's and SIL's. (SIL was yesterday, MIL is tomorrow)
And saw Hudson do this (excuse the horrible quality of the picture. I was trying to do fancy things to avoid using flash *shudder* so instead got blech :giggle:

Look at him go!!! I'm sure you'll grab a few more :giggle: of him up on all fours/crawling!
We FINALLY got our boat in the water again (we blew the motor July 5th) - was too chilly for me on the boat 68 degrees but the boys went tubing and had a blast. new engine flies!
So while they tubed, I had the house aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall to myself for about 2 hours!!!! :woot:

hmmmm....hubby let the puppy out this morning (first time, I think (at least in the morning) since we got her. I got to sleep till 8am! Well, if 'sleep' means listening to cartoons, spoons on cereal bowls, and kids chasing puppy...more like laying in bed with my eyes closed pretending to be asleep for just a few more minutes. Sent the boys out early to church for Cub Scout Sunday. Made it (late) to church with daughter. Grilled cheese for lunch. Told son to back up from the tv a million times. Picked up only to find more mess. Helped daughter to write a story about the day she lost her tooth for school. Scout meeting and dinner with friends. All in all a good family day...note to self...8 adults and 8 kids at a restaurant is too many!
random...has anyone ever noticed I like the occasional ellipsis...?

Well....not really. As you can see, I like using them too....I also a BIG user of capitalizing certain words just IN CASE someone doesn't get my point!!! LOL
