Back when I was 42 I performed in a fund-raiser for a hospital. There was this total hottie who danced to a Ricky Martin number and let me tell you....well, I won't tell you what I was thinking. Anyway, he and I got to talking and he took me out for drinks and then breakfast after the performance. We played pool with his friends. I had no idea how old he was but I was assuming very young. Well then, about a week later, the fund raiser committee had a little "thank you" get together for all the performers. He and I were both there. He was kind of coming on to me again, but I just felt like I was lying to him. I asked him how old he was and he said "27." Ay yi yi. I said I was way too old for him. He wanted to know and I said "I'm on the planning committee for my 25 year high school reunion! I'm 42." He looked like a deer in headlights but then recovered and said "That's okay." Well, it wasn't okay with me. But ooooo laaaa laaaaa...maybe it should have been because the next guy I met was the guy I married who then flipped out this year and ruined our marriage!
