Before DS had his own opinion of what costume he wants to wear!
He's almost 3 and this year he's been very adamant about wanting to be Shaggy from Scooby Doo. I just don't find that very cute, but I suppose it's not all about me!!! :nah:I've suggested everything I can think of that would be cuter but he won't budge. I've even suggested that he be Fred instead of Shaggy. He's got the blonde hair already and I think that the white sweater and orange ascot would be pretty cute. But NO....Its still Shaggy.
And for some reason DH just laughs when I wonder where he gets his stubbornness from....:dunno:

LOL . . . Daniel wants to be a fireman this year . . . don't know where that came from as he loves trains and thought he would end up being a train conductor. Have fun with Shaggy!

I think Shaggy is a cute character! I loved Scooby-Doo.

heck yeah - shaggy would be cute - he could carry along a scooby stuffed animal!!!
My second boy was a policeman EVERY year from the time he was 4 until he stopped trick or treating! it's what he wanted so that's what we did! :giggle:

Yeah, I miss being able to pick out my kids' halloween costumes. They were the CUTEST little things before they got minds of their own and started being Power Rangers and Spider-Man. lol
My very favorite costume was when Cameron was 2 1/2 and I dressed him up as a golfer. Complete with the argyle sweater-vest, knickers, and newsie hat. We even found a real golf club that was his size. I'll have to dig out those photos sometime. He was SO cute!

I should mention that I did get my wish last year and the boys let me "pick" their costumes. They were totally stoked when I suggested Mario and Luigi and so I made them the CUTEST costumes and they were a total hit!

I saw some wal-mart versions of mario & luigi the other day - i bet the homemade ones were cuter though! i have DD's costume already, but the boys haven't decided yet what they want to be.

yeah, they were super easy. I just got a red and a green long-sleeved shirt from wal-mart. Bought plain green and red hats @ the Goodwill and hot-glued on the "M" or "L" logo using craft foam. Then my mom and I sewed very basic overalls out of blue fabric and complete them w/ big yellow craft foam "buttons". I even bought them little moustaches, but they didn't wear them. lol
