Has anyone tried that Airborne stuff to keep from getting sick?? We have all been sick here, repeatedly and me especially. The kids have had different things, and well I have managed to contract it all! I have been sick pretty consistently for like a month now, as soon as I start feeling better, I get hit with something else :( Someone suggested I start taking Airborne, but I dunno if it is even worth the cost, if it works then yes, but otherwise no... so was curious if anyone had any advice on it?!

I used it and felt that it did help. I was already sick when I started it, but felt like the sickness was shortened.

I've tried it and I also read a report that said it didn't do a dang thing! In fact, I think a lawsuit was involved...I can't remember...I could be wrong about that. I think a lot of people swear by it. Plenty of sleep and hand washing are probably your best bet.

There was a lawsuit about it, but I think it was ridiculous. (then again, I didn't think that woman should have won because McD's didn't warn her that her coffee was HOT!) :hey:
I think it does help. :good: It's got good stuff in it.
If you want to add other preventative measures
(borrowed list from a friend):
* take up to 10,000 units of Vitamin D
* avoid white/refined sugar and flour
* wash hands frequently
* get enough sleep
* get outside and breath some fresh air
* get physical! 20-30 minutes of exercise 2-3 times a week
* take a good multivitamin daily
* increase Vitamin C
* take an echinacea supplement when necessary
* avoid antibacterial soaps, gels, etc.

And a couple things we have on hand for when people around us get sick: Sambucol (Elderberry Extract). It's really good (syrupy sweet) and the girls love taking it. And Zicam (there's a spray that we usually get) is awesome, too.

It's really tough. And with kids in different schools, they all pick up things and bring them home and share them with the whole family. There's usually someone home from school in my (growing-up) family during the school year.

I've heard better stuff about Zicam than Airborne.

We use Emergen-C (http://www.emergenc.com/), rather than airborne. I think it tastes much better. They are both just basically vitamins. They can't keep you from getting sick- per se...but they do help to boost your immune system naturally. That will help you fight off an infection on your own. :) I think they are both great. But, taking mega doses of vitamin C can give you some sores in your mouth...so if you get those, then you need to back down on the stuff for a while.

Zicam would help if you are coming down with a virus, to help shorten it. It works in a different way.
