Hi there! Brand new here and wanted to ask about fine art nudity in your gallery. I just posted a piece, here...
SeaGlass Cove (http://www.thedigichick.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=74358&title=seaglass-cove-aka-fragile&cat=500)

I posted the 'modest' version that i have to use in some galleries, not the bare breasts version thats posted at Deviant Scrap. Out of curiousity, what would be your policy on such? I read the guidelines but it just prohibits 'pornographic nudity'. I think this is the furthest thing from that, but I've had other sites tell me any adult nudity is pornographic. Nuts, i say, but hey...wanna play by the rules! lol Here's the original...

Thanks for your time...no hurry at all on this.

Hi! Thanks for asking. We don't normally have people posting art pieces in our gallery, since we are a digital scrapbooking site, so we haven't had anyone question the wording of our rules and guidelines before.

No, we don't allow for any nude images our gallery. The reason it said "pornographic" is that we didn't want to make a fuss if someone posted a scrapbook page with a picture of their baby's little bottom on it. But, as you said you've encountered at other sites, not every one agrees with you that artistic nudity is acceptable for their gallery, which is why we also desire to not have it in ours. We want everyone to feel comfortable coming here and browsing our gallery.

I'll be sure to go change the wording now to make that more clear. Thanks!

Hey Rachel ~ I post my altered art here as well because there's a great mix of scrappers (and designers) here. Thanks for asking about the layout . . . my 13 y/o daughter Olivia creates here and posts regularly to this gallery. Not that she's not seen those before (LOL), but it was very kind of you to ask about it. I actually love the "modest" version you provided, and I'm glad to see you posting here!

Psst . . . check out the rest of Roben-Marie's shop if you haven't already . . . and ViVa Artistry (but aren't you on their team? I can't remember!).

HUGS and thanks for sharing your art with us!

I think everyone has a different idea of what is acceptable and what isn't, so thanks for asking! I also agree that the "modest" version is very nice!

Side story: I am from the US, but just went on a trip to Italy and was surprised to see a number of billboards with bare-chested women on them there! I am pretty sure you would not see that where I live. I'm not saying that it's wrong--the billboards were artistic, and not pornographic in nature, but it definitely showed the differences between the 2 countries' standards of what is "acceptable" :)
