Hello
I am in the process of doing up a personal website with my own picture gallery using some of my LO's created with elements from The Digichick. I am just unsure whether I am allowed to do this or not? I will be crediting all elements used (similar to the gallery here).
Also, is it okay to put a link to your site as one of my favourite sites?
It is purely for personal (not business use), and would mainly be viewed by family & friends???
Thanks heaps for your help! :embaresse

I don't think that there's any problem with any of that. I know that we've discussed using DigiChick items in our headers on our blogs and it was mentioned to e-mail the designer to ask permission 1st. As for posting layouts, I do it on my blog all the time. I just treat it like a gallery and post all the credits for the elements under the layout. And when I use a kit in my header (after the e-mail), I credit the kit/designer in the sidebar. I have a link to the Chick in my sidebar too! So I say - go for it!

I hope it's okay b/c I also have a website with my layouts for friends and family. I just haven't gotten around to posting the credits yet (tsk tsk), but I will. I am pondering how to do it best include the credits.

99% of the time it's just fine with the designer. If you're unsure or would rather be safe, you can always shoot them a quick email to ask permission... chances are they're going to be glad you enjoy their designs enough to share them.
As for linking TDC on your site... go for it! We love to have all the guests we can get. LOL

I know, I'm bad, but the layouts I send to family and friends - the credits are in the file name and not a single member of my family cares one whit about them. So, I don't bother typing it all out again when I put it in my photos gallery - my scrapper friends check these galleries and get all of the details spelled out nicely - my parents...I'm lucky if they can even follow the link to the photo gallery where our current pictures are!

well for my part, I've got a website too, with my work for friends and family too, but I always put credits in a special thraid named "remerciements aux designers" (means: "thanks to the designers") and I put all the name of the designers with the link for the forum, here it is if you want to see how I do!!!

(don't forget designers passed a long time on kits, they are so generous to share with us, so the less we can do is to give them credits!!!) happy to help you!!!
