View Full Version : HYBRID: Fall Centerpiece - Friday, November 5, 2010

I love everything about fall. I love the colors, the scents, the flavors that incite anticipation for the upcoming holiday season. When the weather turns cooler I enjoy putting out my fall decorations: brightly colored leaf garlands, assorted pumpkins and gourds, and even a little turkey figurine here and there. When we host the Thanksgiving meal, I like to add a unique centerpiece to the tablescape and the best way for me to ensure uniqueness is to create the centerpiece myself.

The Challenge:

Browse The Digi Chick shop to find inspiration for creating your own holiday centerpiece, and then create a hybrid Thanksgiving or fall-themed centerpiece or decorative item for your home or to give as a gift.

Here is my centerpiece:

Jackie (tettletop) created this adorable turkey by re-purposing an empty seasoning container! It's clever and cute and will make a wonderful addition to her Thanksgiving table.

1. The deadline for this challenge is Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 11:59 PST. All participants who finish a layout before the deadline will be in the running for a drawing for a grand prize!

2. As always, you can use whatever digital products best suit your project; you donít have to use items from the Digichick to participate.

3. When uploading your layout to our gallery, be sure to add keyword: NOV10HB (There is a place to enter in a keyword right under the description box in the gallery). If you forget to add this keyword, your submission may not be seen for consideration! You may want to copy and paste this keyword to avoid typos. We also recommend that you post a link to your image in this thread to be sure your layout is seen by the challenge hostess.

4. It is the challenge hostess' decision to award or recognize pages that best represent her challenge based on the criteria listed above. If you don't follow all the parts of challenge, your creation won't be in the running for the grand prize! Please be sure to list the ways you interpreted her challenge in your description.

OK, I know in the chat I said I'd try something hybrid. But this seems too hard! A centerpiece? I love the examples, but I don't know if I can come up with something. I'm going to need some serious inspiration!
