Hello! I'm Julie from Sherwood Studio, and I'm here today with a challenge for you. For this particular challenge, we'll be using the Birthday Bash Boutique Collab (http://www.thedigichick.com/shop/Birthday-Bash.html):

Birthdays seem to number among the important events that we make a point to take photos and scrap so it's a bit easy to get in a chronological rut with them. With this challenge you will scrap from a different angle.
Here is my page:

(Journaling reads:
On Katie’s first birthday, Ma Nature decided to clean out the freezer and Wyoming had one of those 50-year storm events. We couldn’t even see the house next door due to the blinding snowstorm, so there was no chance of going to the grocery to get candles and cake and wrapping paper. We didn’t even have film for the camera! Of course the storm only lasted a day and we thawed out quickly and had our celebration the next day. I’m quite sure a one-year-old doesn’t actually care if she gets her cake and presents on time. I did learn my lesson, though, and I try never to put preparations off until the last minute!)
THE CHALLENGE:
- Think about one particular birthday you recall. It doesn't have to be your own, it might be a relative or a friend's special day. It might have been extra-special, or maybe it was disappointing. You get to tell your story with this page, so there needs to be journaling!
- You need to have a frame on your layout. You don't necessarily have to have a photo in it, though!
- You need to add at least one scatter to your page.
_You need to use at least one solid color paper
THE RULES:
- All layouts for this challenge MUST be posted here in this thread by Monday, August 29th before midnight, EST. You are welcome to upload your layouts to our gallery here. Be sure to tell us how you followed each step of the challenge in your description.
- To qualify for the Grand Prize, you must use the May Birthday Bash Boutique Collab for this challenge and fulfill all the requirements listed above.
- You are not required to use this kit in order to enter our general drawing. See the Official Rules post here in this forum (http://www.thedigichick.com/forums/showthread.php?34733-Welcome-to-the-Get-it-Scrapped-Weekend-Extravaganza-Official-Rules)for more information on our prizes for this weekend.
