Welcome to the Journalling Challenge! I love to journal on my pages and I hope I can inspire you to love it too!

THE CHALLENGE

November is a month where a lot of people are thinking about things in life that they are thankful for. I'm not in a country where we celebrate Thanksgiving but I think it's a great idea to set aside some time to focus on the good things in life, whether they are deep and meaningful or slightly more frivolous :lol:.

Your challenge this month is to create a layout about something in your life that you are glad is there, something that makes you happy. It could be your wonderful husband/child/pet, it could be a hobby that you love or those amazing cakes at a local cafe.

SAMPLE LAYOUTS

I chose to make a layout about some of the wonderful advances in technology that have enriched my life or just plain made it easier. I use the beautiful kit Techno-Girl (http://www.thedigichick.com/shop/Techno-Girl-Page-Kit.html) by Pixel Gypsy.

I don't celebrate Thanksgiving either Jude, but still wanted to make a Thankful for... page. Here is my slightly frivolous list of things that I have been thankful for this month!!

ETA: Here's my journaling, its a little bit difficult to read on the 600x600 image...

I am thankful for:
1. My first Christmas latte of the season and the adorable cup that it came in.
2. Seeing fairy lights hung in trees on the Southbank above some spectacular images of Sicily.
3. Living near to the building site of the tallest building in Europe. It gives me goosebumps every time I look up!
4. My walk to work and the stunning view of Tower Bridge at sunrise.
5. Unexpected fireworks on the Southbank with the girls. This show was so spectacular!
6. Autumn. The crunchy leaves on the ground, the chill in the air... everything about it makes for a lovely walk through St. James Park.

This challenge really made me think. I know some of you are affected by the theme of my layout, and I really hope that no offence is taken, it is certainly not meant.

I recently lost one of my cousins - neither she or I were born yet, but my older siblings and three of her four older sisters are in the photo. Two of these cousins passed about 10 years ago - the two oldest ones.

So I scrapped it because these memories of Thanksgiving at Grandma's are precious to me. (yes, I do appear in later photos hahahah)
