Hi Chickies! Jan here, and I’m so excited (and a tad nervous) about hosting my first challenge here at TDC. I hope you all are enjoying all the great activities going on this weekend! I know we’ve had a blast planning them. I swear we have the most awesome staff and the greatest members!
As the title says, this is a photography challenge. I absolutely love photography and everything about it! I am by no means professional, I just have a passion for capturing anything and everything around me. And beyond that, I love creating layouts with my photographs that help to tell the story.
So here’s my challenge to you: Since we are all about “love” this month, I want you to photograph and scrap something you love. Ahhh but it can’t be that simple, can it? Hehe Specifically, I want you to think about “the little things”. We take lots of photos and scrap lots of pages of our kids, spouses, families, all those things and people we love, but sometimes it’s the little things that bring us the most joy. What I want you to do is just look around or think about your every day life, all the little things that go in to it and capture one of those things. It could be that first cup of morning coffee, a warm blanket on a cold winter day, a keepsake, any of “the little things” that you just love. It could be something sweet and sentimental or maybe something a tad quirky about you. Interpret it any way you want and then scrap a page with that photograph. No catch there, just anyway you want to do it.
I chose to photograph a charm and a model VW bus that my dad gave me, and here's my layout:

Here's the fine print for this weekend's special event challenges:
You must use at least 75% Digichick Goodies on your layout to qualify for points.

Points and Deadlines:
You will receive 2 points if you complete this challenge by Monday, February 6th 11:59pm EST.
If you miss that deadline, you can still earn 1 point if you complete it by Feb 29th 11:59pm EST. {If you complete all 6 Event Weekend Challenges by Monday, February 6th 11:59pm EST you will receive one bonus point for effort! Six challenges completed within the Event weekend deadlines = 12 challenge points + 1 bonus point = 13 points!}
