View Full Version : Travel Challenge - Feb 6th

I LOVE to travel and am so fortunate to be in a position where world travel is more the norm than not. Over the Christmas break I had friends who traveled near and far: Sri Lanka, Okinawa, Tasmania, back to the US. With the busy-ness of the holidays over and the cold of winter setting in, I have begun thinking about far off, exotic places to go for warmer weather: Hawaii comes to mind, Australia would be rather nice this time of year, I'd love to go back to Cambodia. Perhaps you are anticipating a trip over spring break or during the summer. Where do you want to go? Where do you dream of traveling?
Your challenge is to scrap your dream travel destination or some place you'll be traveling to in the near future. Perhaps it's some place you have been before or visit often. Maybe it's somewhere you've never been but have always wanted to go.
For me, I am scrapping China. I have lived in Asia going on six years now and we just can't leave before seeing Beijing and the Great Wall, maybe we'll even get lucky and see the Terracotta Soldiers!
The fine print:

I had so much fun doing this challenge this morning! I had a new kit I had just bought and wanted to use it but didn't see how it would work for a travel challenge. But I started in, and to my surprise it had everything I needed! Love the challenges here!

I totally agree with you. China is my future travelgoal. Donīt know if I ever will be able to go there, but I want to!
Love your LO.
This sounds a good challenge... will see how time goes for me to get this challenge done.. maybe I will share a dream destination...

The Great Wall is a dream destination for me (hopefully in the next five years). Right now, I'm looking forward to Cambodia and Vietnam. Off to find something to play with for that. Great challenge, btw!
And Jamie, I LOVE your LO. It's going into faves for a future scraplift. :)

Fun challenge! Off to dream of a lovely (and warm!!!) place and scrap it!!
Great challenge; One of my favorite topics to scrap! Every year, for the past 7 years, we have vacationed in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and love it so much we are going back again this year. We are counting the days until our departure... Here be my creation....

There are many places I would like to revisit, but at this point with it being sooo cold outside all I want to do is go somewhere warm...

Thanks for the inspiration (and the opportunity to use a kit by Viva... I was sure I couldn't manage those gorgeous realistic elements, but I finally tried and I LOVE the end result!)!!

Ah, funny how Viva's kits (especially this new one "Lost World") inspired many of us!

I just LOVE that China LO you did! WOW!
Back to reality. Here's one I made of my daughter - totally posed in one of my ugly hats. If I had known what I was going to do with the photo I would have gotten her facing either left or right, but she was gone about an hour after the pic was taken.

Well, I thought I would never finish this! I have been to this wilderness retreat in Northern Minnesota 4 times with my youngest sister and various nieces and nephews, and have found it a wonderful, relaxing place. (You know you're roughing it, though, when there's no dishwasher!)
