Okay, as you might know, my cat Bidule died today, apparently hit by a car. I buried him tonight and I feel very sad. So, in addition to all the support I already received from you girls, I would love to hear good stuff that happened to you today or recently. Let me share your joys, this would help me feel better.

By the way, I also got a good news when I phoned my mom to let her know about Bidule: one of my cousins is pregnant! So, what about you?

Today, my daughter CLEANED UP HER OWN MESS - and THEN - here's the kicker - SHE DECIDED TO DO HER BROTHER'S LAUNDRY CHORE TOO!! That is to take the pile of laundry from the bathroom and bedroom to the laundry room - and since we just cleaned out from under the bed the pile was as big as TWO of her - :) And she did it with a JOYFUL attitude!! :)

I think it's wonderful that she is HELPING!
Wonderful to hear about your cousin expexting a new baby too!! :)

Thanks for starting such an uplifting thread Chloe!!

My good news is that today is my 7th wedding anniversary, and we're still in love as much as we were when we got married, if not more. :)

what a fun thread.....ok mine happened on Sun March 5, 2006 11:06pm - I got a "this is gorgeous" on one of my layouts from Shabby Princess.....and I have been on cloud 9 since. But today I got a comment from a newbie trying out in a contest about how I inspired her to do it.....I was absolutely stunned and humbled by this.

And AmyJo - do you rent our your dd???? Mine needs some cleaning tips...... :) Happy Birthday and congrats to everyone else above!!

This is such a great thread! I think it's so important in life to see the good things... helps me not to feel sorry for myself and overlook all the awesome things that happen each day.

I've greated my blog mainly for this reason to become aware of the everyday blessings. Anyway... something that happened last night that made me feel wonderful was shopping. I've been working out and eating healthy since my daughter was about 3months old and benefited by losing about 35lbs. I went last night to get some capris for the summer and was able to fit into another smaller size. I was just thrilled.

Another thing that brightened my day... my 10 month old daughter learned how to drink from a straw! She learned this by drinking a starbucks frappicino (sp?). I know bad mom but you'll do anything when you're in public and she's a bit fussy. LOL

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat... it's never easy to lose pets but how exciting about the baby!

Thanks, Girls, it's good to hear about good stuff that happened to my dear chicks! I barely slept last night but I feel a little bit better this morning, reading that thread and realising that life goes on. Hope I'll be able to get good news today too!

Here are my good news for today... and I've got 2 of them, wohow!
First, I've been very busy at work and I almost didn't think about Bidule. I didn't cry until now, I can't believe it.
Second, I've finally been able to clean my desk at the office... Spring cleaning is in the air, I suppose! It feels so good to see order and clear desk, I feel much more effective, and it kept me busy for a few hours!

So, what about you, what good happened to you today?

Chloe, I'm so glad you had a better day!
Jasmine has started giving me the things she finds on the floor, instead of putting them all in her mouth. That's a HUGE thing...she was eating all sorts of things she shouldn't be! (the worst was a ladybug...) I'm glad she's learning before I start taking her outside...I don't even want to think what she could find out there!

Silly me...I nearly forgot the big news! My longest-time friend (we've known each other since babyhood) is pregnant! She lost a baby at 10 weeks, right before Jasmine was born, so she didn't tell us until today, at 14 weeks. Everything looks good and I'm so pleased for them :)

I too am sorry for loss. Good news. . . . well. . .I saw my new granddaughter get dedicated to God on Sunday wearing her Great-Great-Great-Grandmothers dress she made for her daughter, my great Aunt who was the twin sister of my grandfather. It was a beautiful ceremony and I am so happy my son and his wife are going to bring her knowing who God is. That makes me happy.

We are closing on our house in 4 days!!! We will have the keys and be moving into it finally! My parents bought us our fridge and range as a housewarming/extremely late wedding gift.
I almost have all the box packing done!:)

LOL, Charlene, love the ladybug! It's great for your friend, hope everything will be ok!

Nonnie, great event, I love the idea to transmit what you belive in to your children (even if I'm not religious, I love the concept of roots and transmission of faith. Paradoxical, I know).

Tegan, good luck for moving in, it's always stressful but i hope you'll be very happy in that new home.

i actually forgot a third good news (who could have imagined I would find 3 positive things in the day following bidule's death??): I could take a nap today! I desperately needed it, and these 20 minutes of sleeping were nothing but great!

So sorry to hear of your loss, Chloe. :( Big hugs!

I am excited because we just got a new puppy. She is soooo cute and making everyone laugh in the house (which is good after a year of tension with blending families [two stubborn teenage girls]).

My daughter told me that I was "right" today and is getting back on track for deciding about colleges. Whew!

Great news Kim! Hope to see LOs about your puppy soon, they are so cute when they are little (and bigger too, lol)! I know it might be difficult with teenagers, but it's good for your daughter that she starts thinking about her future... It's usually the sign that they are growing up (actually it was for me and my brother).

I don't have anything "good" to report, I just wanted to say that I love this thread. It is great to have a post where people can share all the "good". It's been nice hearing what is going on with everyone! "Good" idea Chloe.
