Not sure if any of you are country music fans but..... {sad news}

Buck Owens passed away this morning! (http://www.kget.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=C1580738-8621-44AC-AE6B-21D26930B1BA) It's kinda wierd b/c it's not like I ever listened to his music or anything but still... I guess b/c this is my town, lol... it's kinda sad! And the strangest thing of all? A while back, we saw the mausoleum that he had built {complete with huge guitar handles!} in our local camera ads for sale... ??? And then he dies. Wow.... I meant to post this earlier. Is anyone here a fan of his music? (I was going to go this week to take photos of the Palace {Buck Owen's Palace} for my photog class assignment. Not sure if I should now or not...)

I loved Buck Owens lol - he and Dwight Yoakam had a great rendition of "Streets of Bakersfield" and I loved his version of "Act Naturally," with Ringo Starr - but I grew up on Buck Owens, my family's from the sticks :)

Yeah I read that on the internet. My DH was a big Buck Owens fan. I'm not real crazy about country music but I do like the guitar music with no singing. I remember him on the Grand Ole Opry. Now does that tell my age??????

I wonder what the cause of death was? Has there been any updates?

Yes I saw that on the local news this morning, it's horrible!!!! He was something really huge for our town, even change pierce rd, to buck owens blvd. I saw him a few times at the palace, Im not a country fan, I just had to go.kwim. Very sad day..
