I just saw a news article about this:

http://www.husbandonstrike.com/

Very interesting. Doesn't sound very constructive on his part.

That guy is an idiot!
That guy is an idiot!
That guy is an idiot!

You know who needs to go on strike? His wife! If he is so bent on the way she goes about the kids, she should go on strike. I promise after a week of no MOMMY, he will be creating a "MY WIFE ROCKS" blog.

WHAT - A - JERK!!! He has a little 2-month old! SPOIL!! Geez, why don't you try to love them once in awhile. I really feel for his wife. It can be hard to have 2 kids 2 and under...but to have this guy on the side to deal with. I guess there are some guys that just don't get it.

UGH! Need I say more? Dude, I can understand that you're feeling neglected, but grow a set and start acting like a man!! Maybe, just maybe, if he took the 2 yr old off her hands for an hour or so in the evening or gave her a little "me" time, she might feel more accommodating. What an idiot!

Me and Kimberly are going to be good friends, I hav issues with political correctness too...

Than man is NO HUSBAND!! There is NOTHING Christ like about his leadership - he's a PANSY - and man, if my bedroom looked that clean Kurt would think we had a hot date or something!! He would be SO EXCITED he'd HELP put the kids in their own beds, clean up the kitchen and sweep the floor just to speed things up so he could get to his nice clean room :)

Man, Abby and Ruby slept in our bed quite a bit until..they stopped nursing lol - they had their own beds, I put them in their own beds - but not if I was too tired to move :D

I took a gander at the petition...I can't believe that many (3000+) would sign it!

I agree with everyone else.
Unbelievable.
That poor wife. I cannot believe he is putting her through this.

Wonder how many of that 3000 are male?

Did anyone happen to see Dr. Phil day before yesterday? I had it on while I worked and eventually had to turn it off because I couldn't focus on my student essays! THere was this guy who was ticked off at his wife because she didn't have the house spotless or up to his standards when he got home. She's 8 months PG and has been PG or nursing for the last 4 years! (I think that's right, anyway.) He was actually considering divorce because he said he felt like she half-a**ed did everything. UGH!

I'd guess they were all male.

Ugh. I can't believe there really are people that insensitive and horrible out there. I would have turned off Dr. Phil too!

I wonder...is his wife feeding him (back to the first guy) while he's on the roof? Is he coming down to eat, or is she bringing food up to him? Or is she making him go find something to eat? There is no WAY I would cook for someone doing that to me.

HAHAHAHAAAAAAA.

Ok so I told my DH about this. You know what he said? "That dude is lucky! Once, I fired off at you for not doing something and you made me fix my own dinner for a week! He's lucky that she doesn't leave him for this!"

HAAAAHAHAAAAAA (I think I have him trained well! ROFL!!!)

Kimberly - I have spelling issues too - but that's OKAY
Man, Kurt loves me even after I broke him...
I went to take care of a friend after she had a hysterectomy once...I had planned to be gone for one month - he was calling after FIVE DAYS whining "WHAT IF YOU DECIDE NOT TO COME BACK..." and I'm like - whatever dude - and even if I didn't ...I HAVE ALL OF THE KIDS - what was he worrying about?? lol I ended up returning a week early because he couldn't handle any more.

:)
He's not so bad eh?

HA! I actually laughed out loud!!! Yes, I agree that he and his wife need to come to decisions together about their children, BUT when you are dealing with a newborn, there is a period of time where you do what you have to do to survive! (as my SIL told my hubby when he was having issues when Jack was a newborn). And sounds like she hasn't gotten the "go-ahead" for sex yet- cause he just sounds like a grumpy man who hasn't gotten "any" in a while!

Yes, the bible does say that wives should submit to their husbands----BUT, in the same breath, it also says that HUSBANDS SHOULD LOVE THEIR WIVES LIKE CHRIST LOVED THE CHURCH!!! Living on the roof is NOT loving his wife!!

(stepping off soap box now!)

Yeah, not to go off on a religious tangent or anything, but it always gets me when some people (men, usually) are so quick to spout the "submit" thing but always seem to forget the second half of that scripture!!

AmyJo

EXACTLY my point - he's no husband at all - lol :)

Ditto everyone :D

DH didn't want that scripture mentioned at our wedding because of that (people forgetting/ignoring the second half) but the pastor did the sermon on that anyways! He did a good job, though, covering both halves.

In our house, I think he does better with his part than I do with mine. :) I'm really curious to know what his thoughts are on the blog...well, I pretty much know how he'll feel, but it'll be fun to hear his exact words :D

I would be willing to bet there are bigger issues for this couple than child care, and I would also be willing to bet they started long before children.

Now I am more gratefull than ever for the man I am married to!

I can bet that this whole blog is a set up - that bedroom picture looked put together to me. It doesn't read true - but that's just me

that dude should come live at MY house with our 5 kids. When I had surgery last fall to have some tumors removed from my pancreas, I was in the hospital for 6 days ... and my dh had to do ALL the work of taking care of our family. I tell you what, he was a great hubby before that but he SURE got a deeper appreciation of the life of an at-home mom.

Just imagine if his wife were as selfish as he is!

OMG- He was just on my late morning news. ROFLOL! Ya know, he looks pretty intelligent. (I guess I expected a really ignorant "looking" man to fit the ignorance that he's pushing out of his mouth!) And his wife looked very sweet. They both seem to be "calmly" standing their ground. My news reported said after the video clip was over "Yeah, I bet he'll be inside soon, I used to live in Michigan- it's cold!" HAHAHA

hey, I wonder what happened to his site? It's gone -- wasn't it forwarding to a blogger.com account anyway??? My dh and I were trading e-mails about dumb internet sites (try www.stuffonmycat.com (http://www.stuffonmycat.com)) and I was gonna link him over to that dude, ROFL

BTW, I tried to search him on blogger -- couldn't get HIM but would you believe there were **24,278** posts somewhere on blogger accounts that have the phrase "husband on strike" on them. Now I wish I could get that kind of buzz WITHOUT having to do something really DUMB.
