Why I Love Digi Chick!

OK ive wanted to do this for a bit, but havent done it, but after recent events, i think its good timing!! I want everyone to join in!

When i started digi scrapping, i visited many many sites, but i made this one my home. The reason, really has very little to do with the great designs in the store!
The people here are just faboulous, and always helpful. I've never once felt like i should ask a questions, and there is always someone right there to help me out. I LOVE the since of community here, and just wanted to share my thoughts with everyone else!

I love TDC for the same reasons. I have been to many digi sites, but this one is the one I feel comfortable at.

I have some of the same reasons--I started out at other places, but I feel in love with the peaceful sense of community here and the way that everyone is so kind to each other. I was also completely blown away by the talent and generosity of the incredible designers here. In my opinion, while there are terrific designers everywhere, the DigiChick designers are the most talented team out there. I love you guys!!

I also love how people chip in to help each other out for questions and support each other in contests. I love the way we've been posting updates about that Ultimate contest and cheering the remaining Chicks on.

This is such an awesome place and I'm so honored to be a part of it! :)

You know, I consider this site the best, but for some reason, I just bounce around from site to site not really sticking to one. I'm not sure why. I think this weekend has shon me why I like it so much, and I want to be here to chat with the gals more often. :)

Know why I love this site? No, not because Laura is my daughter. When visiting other sites, the first thing I look at is the message board. If any of them have messages that seem to be nothing but complaints or slamming someone, I don't bother with them. This site DOES NOT do that. This site does have a sense of community. I am always asking dumb questions (to me anyway) and everyone of you have been very patient and helpful to me. That is why I love this site.

Just wanted to pipe in, too! I love TDC because it feels like home! The girls here are encouraging, helpful, and kind- all things that I need and want in this hobby. And it's a place where I can be the same to others- I feel like I have real friends here and that on some level, this is like family!

I love this site for all the previously mentioned reasons. When people ask me about digiscrapping, I don't hestitate to send them here because I know that they will be welcome. This is a place that welcomes and encourages people of all skill levels...from all over the world. No question is too basic or silly to ask. Someone will answer in a positive and encouraging way (who needs more negative stuff in their life?!?)

Digiscrapping is supposed to be something we do for fun and enjoyment...and at the Digi Chick it really is!

I LOVE TDC!!!!! I often find myself telling my sisters and husband about my friend SO and SO and SO and SO and although I've never actually spoken to them (A number of women here!) directly. I really feel like they are all my friends and because I read their blogs, and see their layouts. I feel like I am part of thier life and really know them personally. TDC is the first digital scrapping site I recommend to anyone looking into getting into digital. I bounced around when I first started in June 2005 (has it really been almost a year?) and once I found TDC I stayed put. I check out other message boards, but this is my digital home.

I totally love this site for the sense of community we have, for the talented members, for the support you can get when you are stuck on something. But what I really like is that everybody is tolerant. It's sometimes not very easy to understand each others with the different cultures and opinion. There are some sites where I don't feel comfortable because I'm not a SAHM mom and I'm not religious. I know that many of you are strong belivers and have a family which is very important for them, I respect that, and I even respect it more because I don't feel "thrown apart" for not being that way. You don't try to force me to think like you and that's what I REALLY LOVE about TDC! Thanks for letting me be myself and for being who you are, girls!

TDC is not the first digital scrapping site I found. It is, however, the place I stayed. Everyone here is wonderful. I love it here. I couldn't ask for a better group of ladies to spend my internet time with! XOXOXOXO TDC!

For me TDC is just like a pair of comfy pj's - it just feels right. I'm another that constantly talks about people here - my husbands eyes tend to glaze over but my daughter gets REALLY excited. She thinks I belong to the DIXIE CHICKS her favourite band! How funny is that?

I kinda fell on this site from a link (maybe from Katie the Scrapbooking Lady? I don't remember) about Michelle's Chick's Life, and was sold immediately.
I love that, even in the "chicky chat," it's friendly and positive. That area in many forums can get negative and catty, and it's totally not that way. I'd love to meet so many of you, and I occasionally have to remind myself that I haven't met you!

and knowing that this is one of the most amazing boutiques doesn't hurt, either :) I was given a gift certificate on another site (nice birthday present from the site!) and had a hard time finding anything I'd really use. Made me really realize how amazing our designers are :)

So, how come you guys want to make me cry? I can't tell you how happy I am to see this thread! Not only because it's a TDC love fest... but because it makes me realize that my vision, my dream for this site has really come true! Since the day I took over I knew what kind of community I wanted to offer. I wanted people of all colors, shapes, sizes... single, married, moms, child free, professional, layed back... the whole spectrum... to feel comfortable coming here. I wanted people to know that TDC is a supportive, kind, welcoming community.

Fee said it so perfectly... I wanted it to feel like your favorite pair of jammies, snuggled up with your favorite beverage... safe and comfy.

With that said... I have to also say that just having a vision would never have done me any good without the AMAZING staff that keep it real every day. You guys... I'm not kidding... I have the PERFECT team. I was chatting with a digi friend just yesterday and she was raving about the TDC team... she couldn't say enough great things about you.

So, now that I've writen a book... I'll sign off now. Just wanted to say THANK YOU to every single member here... ya'll make this place what it is!

I have been at this site since pretty much the beginning. When Holly hed her first CT call, I soooooo wanted to apply, but I only had like 5 layouts under my belt, so I waited. It was a dream come true when I won the Apprentice contest with Robin last October.
This site has seen many changes, many evolutions. But it has grown stronger and more welcoming with each change, I think. I float back and forth and post here and there, but this is where I come to roost, in my pj's, LOL! I miss this site and all of you when I'm gone.
I love that I "know" you all, by name as well as by your "handle". That we support each other, weither it's with a cranky child, a job interview, a new house, or a beloved pet that's died. That I can come here and rant about Grey's or Lost and someone will be there to rant with me. That we all just grin and make jokes when the site groans and sputters when the silly men forget to upgrade our system on our big day (OMGosh - Laura - I can't BELIEVE that - what were they thinking????).
But the thing I love the most is the drama that is missing from this board. We may not all agree, but it NEVER leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.

This thread left me with a warm fuzzy feeling - LOL - so I had to join in! From the time I first came here, I loved it...it's my home like so many of you have said. The sense of community spirit, the awesome team here that I am **SO** lucky to work with, and not to mention the terrific designers. I've never strayed from TDC, and I don't think I ever will - I just don't get the same feeling from other sites. And like Chloe said, I used to feel like I didn't belong anywhere because I'm not a Mum, not religious, etc, etc, I just wanted to be creative and have fun. TDC helped me to feel like I could scrap, accepted me (children or no children), and I just love it here!

Thank you to all of our members - it truly is what makes this place so great!!

i wanted to be a chef from the time i was 8 until i was 19 and got pregnant with isaac. then i realized that being a mom was more important to me than being a chef. chefs have crazy work hours. and for my wedding i got some bedding (sheets and stuff), an entire set of dishes (service for 8), a really nice knife set, analon pots & pans set, and some other miscellaneous stuff.
