What in the heck....?

What in the heck just happened? I have been trying to get on for the last hour or so and everytime I would click on anything - other than "staff" - I got a pop up box with an option to dowload. Did anyone else have this problem getting on or was it my computer? Anyway, glad it's back up and running!I probably missed some announcement saying TDC would be outta pocket a while!

whew! I thought it was my computer! I have been scanning and changing all kinds of stuff. I was down to having to wipe my hard drive, and thought I would try one last time. Sure glad I did, 'cause wiping the HD is a hassle!

Happened to me, too. A couple boards I frequent were hacked this year and their boards got viruses so I was quite nervous.

Okay...I was suddenly so relieved to see this post cause I haven't been able to access any page with Firefox cause it gives me a pop up box asking me where to download the php file. So I finally just now decided to see if I could access the site with Explorer and as you can see...I can. LOL But now that I've read all the posts in this thread...how come it's fixed for you guys and not me??? I hate using Explorer!

Actually Emily, I am using Explorer! Lil' Ol' me... stuck in my old ways. I'm used to Explorer and... well... I don't adjust to change well! :)

Phew..Glad it wasn't a virus! I was so nervous seeing that pop up box asking me to download. There's this site that I also frqnt was hacked with a virus..It was planted in the forum and most of those who where log in that time they got affected too..Scary,huh!

Oh well, other people just can't do anything nice with their time..

Glad TDC is up and running again;-)

From past experiences of having my own website, and currently helping in running another....

More and likely, the host was upgrading the Apache in the server, which if not done in a certain manner....

Well, anything that doesn't require PHP scripts will come up, like a main webpage or anything that doesn't need more than a few HTML codes.

But since TDC runs a forums - that went offline.

But I am glad we are back up now!!

I'm with you Emily, I couldn't get in with Firefox but it works with IE.... don't like it either! That's definitely weird!

Actually, I wasn't able to get in with IE at work during the afternoon yesterday, it just asked me to download/open something.

I'm so glad things were fixed though.... :)
