What's your favorite half of the bagel?

Not too long ago I would've said the top half, but lately I'm really diggin' the bottom half. It's a little crustier and chewy and I like that stuff on the bottom of most of 'em... what is that? Cornmeal I think?

I like all types of bagels--depends on my mood. I normally go for the sweet, slightly tart (like cranberry) or cinnamon though

I'm with you, Val, on the bottoms! I stick to the sesame bagels. I really like garlic, but they are hard to find. Not a cream cheese fan unless it is in frosting. :) I love a good garlic or sesame bagel with a tiny hint of mayo and some havarti cheese. Mmmm. I haven't had that in years!

Definately savory, toasted and with butter. But I like the sweet too. I like the cinnamon crunch ones with hazelnut cream cheese at Panera. YUMMY!

I like the top best though...I like "everything" bagels (poppyseed, sesame seed, garlic, onion flakes, and whatever else they add) with lotsa cream cheese. YUMMMMM! Blueberry bagels are great on their own...fresh, without being toasted...delish!! :)

Cinnamon sugar bagel (tops are my fave) with jalapeno cream cheese. The sweet/savory combo is to DIE for!

Oh my gosh, and there is an Einstein Bros down the street from our hotel! But I'm doing Atkins, so I will be hitting Denny's for an omelet instead! :)

--Toasted Chocolate Chip Bagel w/Cream Cheese. If I have plain bagels, I will sprinkle a couple of kisses on top of each side while i'm toasting them - yum!

Okay, I don't even know which side is the top and which is the bottom! I like the side that is NOT the fat side - or thick side I guess. I like the smaller side, which is probably the top? Anyway, I like a plain bagel with strawberry creamcheese!

I LOVE bagels with cream cheese... and I love the top the best. It all depends on my mood as to which type I like best. I LOVE toasted bagel sandwhiches from The Bagel Factory though. MMMMM, cucumbers, melted cheese, turkey on a garlic bagel....mmmmmm.

my fave part is the top. but i like bagles with mucho nuts on them so the top is usually sportin those. and i like to drizzle mine with honey (after toasting)

OH I am a BAGEL lover!!! Love love love um! Toasted with Butter and Cream Cheese. Lots of oooey-gooey yummy cream cheese. This morning with my coffee I had a blueberry bagel. Yumm!

when we flew to ohio, they had einstein bros bagels in the airport. they were sooooo good. they don't have those here and they need to!

i like the top. and the "everything" bagel. with just plain cream cheese or butter. not a big fan of the flavored cream cheeses.

now i'm hungry. shoot, i don't have anything for breakfast here today :(

I gotta tell you, you are making me want to go to Panera! I love their French Toast ones with the Hazelnut Cream Cheese...but the Cinnamon Crunch ones are great, too. We used to have a local bagel shop here that did Pumpkin ones over the holidays...I'd toast them and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar...just like pumpkin pie...YUM!

I love the bottom more because it's chewier (is that a word? LOL) Cinnamon raisin bagels are awesome lightly toasted with just a bit of margarine.
