View Full Version : Ever have a question for someone here...

...that you wanted to ask but never felt like it was important enough to make a thread about? Like how to pronounce someone's name...or if there are any other scrappers near you...it can be specific or general!

Here's a place to do that http://img116.exs.cx/img116/6469/g5cgrin.gif
(I know there's a mammoth thread going on another forum where I occasionally lurk, and it's gotten nasty a couple times here, but that whole forum has some issues, so I'm not worried about that here!)

Good job, Charlene! I have heard/read horror stories about nastiness on boards. I can't imagine it happening here. *gasp*

(and with that, I bid you fine ladies adieu... I must head to a meeting, but I am just crossing the 700 post threshold!)

Thanks, Kimberlee :) And congrats...only 100 to super chick :D

I'll start. Andrea, are you an Ann-dree-uh, or Ahn-dray-uh? (how's that for writing it out the way it sounds??) :) And just how far from Buffalo do you live???

you know, maybe i'm just a total newbie or just totally naive, but i've never seen any of the nastiness - - only heard about it. enough, i guess to keep me away from certain boards.

but, charlene, i have wanted to tell you something....you remind me SO much of my husband's cousin. so much so that i often do a double-take. little jasmine even favors his cousin. i'll have to find a pic and send you sometime :)

:)

I am Ann-dree-uh! And I have no idea how far Buffalo is! I live in New Castle, PA, an hour north of Pittsburgh and an hour and half south of Erie. I actually live closer to the Ohio border.

Oh that's funny. I've always assumed it's Ann-dre-a.
Yes, so what is it!

Yay! I guessed right :) And it looks like it's about 3 hours away. So maybe if we make a trip to see my brother and his wife (outside of Hershey) we can swing by! :D (DH loves it when I make plans like this!)

How funny, Christine! I'd love to see! :)

hey jenn star, where at in FL are you?

andrea, i have always pronounced right, yay!

berekah-what does your name stand for?

Charla
06-22-2006, 07:21 PM
My middle name is Rebekah. When I was little, my mom would call me "Charleney Berekah" so when I needed a screen name years ago, I thought it would be fun to use again. It's my standard online name...well, most places :)

I was right! :) My SD's middle name is Rebekah, so I just assumed that was the case for you when I saw the online name... I don't know why. :)

Oh, but I'm sure you don't use that for the hoochy sites. ;) Hahahahaha

Not just a newbie or naive...more like smart enough to stay away from that stuff. Thankfully, The DigiChick has never been one of those places (at least not since I've been here). We're all about happiness and helping each other out. Makes me happy. There's enough drama in life--who needs to create extra drama online, ya know? :regular_s

Question for Marsha... in your avatar, you can see a reflection of a couple in the lens. Who is it? :)

It's dh and I... here's the photo in a layout (http://www.thedigichick.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/15/cat/500/perpage/24/ppuser/307). :)

ok, here's a question.... am I the only one totally exhausted today? the only one who desperately wants to take a nap but the kids are not keen on that idea?

Charla
06-27-2006, 05:08 PM
Nope...that was me this morning. I'm better now than I was, though I would not exactly turn down a nap (though I suppose the fact that I'm pregnant could have something to do with it...)

Marsha, that picture is awesome!! Soooo cool :)

gosh, Kimberly, I'm right there with you!! We went to the Zoo this morning in the blazing heat and between that and the fact that Maggie believe she should be awake at 5:30 am (when Mommy DOES NOT function well) and being pregnant, I'm exhausted!! No nap day here today, either, AND I've got 2 hours of work to do at some point. At least DH isn't going out of town tonight like he thought!

Ugh... I've been up since 5:30 am, too... I did my FitMama workout but just about died during the yoga session, lol! Sheesh! Meanwhile, I've finished 2 layouts and pretty much sat here all day, hee hee! I *need* to make a Target run in the worst possible way and I *need* to finish laundrey but sitting under the fan on my rear sounds much more appealing, lol! Actually, I'm going to go lay down and watch a movie with the babies and try to relax in a few...

okay, here's my question for someone here. this one's for michelle (rynonut mom):

where'd you get your screen name? i always picture your name as rhino nut mom, as is someone who's a mommy who also is really crazy about rhinoceroses. am i revealing too much of my weirdness here?

do tell :)

Rynonut Mom
06-27-2006, 07:11 PM
LMAO over here!
ryno - comes from Ryan or Ryno, which is one of his nicknames. He was named after Ryne Sandberg but with a different spelling.
nut - comes from Matthew or Nut short for Peanut as he was dubbed by me in the NICU at like a day old.
We had just gotten our new computer at Best Buy a few years back and they wanted a name for our e-mail, so that's what I came up with on the spot for the e-mail. The 1st site I signed up at (2P's) I used my name, cause I thought I'd never (ha) post anything, so why come up with a cute name. Then along came digi and I was signing up at places and started using rynonut mom as my "handle" LOL!
And yes - that's how I pronounce it in my head rhino nut mom. tee hee!

Priscilla

LOL, I was pronouncing it right all this time... but it's nice to finally know what it means. LOL

SO, how come nobody wants to know what MY screen name means? :22:

sinead
06-27-2006, 07:52 PM
LOL Laura!!

Marsha, how do you get so much done during the day when the kiddos are awake? Maggie is all over me within 5 minutes of sitting down at a computer, so I have to make my moments short and sweet!

Priscilla

I'll tell you what mine means if you tell me what yours means

:thinking2
