Whooohooo!! My DH rocks!! He just bought me a new HP Pavilion laptop with an ATI graphics card and 80GB just on the hard drive. This thing SMOKES! Whoooohoooo!!! AND a new 400GB external hard drive (to supplement the 160 GB EHD that I already had). Can I tell you how super happy I am??

i can't wait for Maggie to go to bed tonight so that I can play play play!!

Boy, I've got a great DH!!

I'm SO excited! I loaded PhotoShop just to see and it took almost no time to get going. On the old laptop, it took so long just for the program to boot up and get ready to go. If I switched windows on the old laptop, it took forever for PSCS2 to be ready to go again. Not so now (I think)!

That is awesome Sinead! A big congrats! I was ecstatic when I got my laptop. I don't go on the desktop anymore unless I absolutely have to as it is slow as molasses running uphill! LOL

We had a Dell (well, DH still does), but we had mondo problems with the power supply and the way that it attaches to the back of the laptop. DH even took it to work (they build ruggedized laptops, mostly for the military) and they took it apart and tried to resecure the connection. No dice--would have had to remove the motherboard.

Anyway, our Dell is a couple of years old, so maybe it was a design flaw that has since been fixed. I hope so!

I love my desktop but DH is getting me an Apple laptop in the next few months and I can't wait!
