So I just came here to check in "real quick", right? We all know how that is...

Realized Maggie was being awful quiet. She was putting laundry detergent (powder) into the cats' automatic water thing. Lovely. And into the cooler on the floor in the laundry room. And all over the laundry room floor.

Guess I need to refocus, huh? lol And clean. :tongwink:

I guess soap is better than sand! LOL When ds2 was younger he brought in a bucket of sand and dumped it on the floor behind the couch and began to play. For some reason he thought this would be good fun!

yes, I know what you mean. TODAY, my kids were playing in the other room, no screaming or fighing, so I thought things were okay. Well youngest dd who is 2 comes in with marker all over her arms, legs, and face. I go and check and she has also "markered" all over the sheets!!! At least we always get washable though. Bathed and she's good as new.

lol Tamra and Nikki! I should have known, really! Whenever she gets quiet, it always means trouble. This child talks nonstop!!

LOL!
Before I really got into TDC - my computer was in our bedroom and I was in the living room. Matthew went into the bedroom, found a Sharpie and proceeded to mark all over the bathroom (toilet, cabinet, etc) and then moved on into the bedroom with the comforter and the COMPUTER SCREEN!!! My mouse pad still bears the marks of this. Ugh!
Ltely it's been potty accidents - mommy gets caught up and forgets to remind him in time. LOL!

My kids are too old to get into messy trouble... but I have the puppy (and she's very hyper) so it is really scary when she's quiet. The other day, DD put her in her indoor pen and left her. Kate wasn't happy about being penned, so she pulled the carpet pad from under the area rug and chewed a huge section to bits. :(

Oh boy, ive been there done that.......there is an advantage to older kids, they always tell you if the younger one is being bad LOL Well unless they are being bad together, then watch out!!

LOL! Yesterday when I was putting up my Dessert recipe, my ds of 1 1/2 took a marker out of my room (where I was, LOL) and proceeded down the hallway (oh, and the marker was bright RED) making pretty drawings all over the walls. His older brother never would have been given the time to do something like that. LOL!

I am so thankful for baby wipes - it comes right off if you get it in time! :P

OK, most of you probably know I am having issues knowing what day of the week it is. Usu sally it isn't a problem. As long as I get Bill off to work, we are fine. But I totally forgot that on Wednesdays, we host a Bible study/Worship time for unchurched men at our house. Bill came in here, while I was happily working on the Chick Walk, and asked what I was doing? I answered, and he kind of shrugged and left. After a bit I looked at the clock and realized that the med would be here in less than a hour. I hadn't showered yet, made the food, or cleaned my house! YIKES!!! Fortunately, I am a Fly Baby, so I had everything I needed, and the house is rarely more than 15 minutes dirty (how long it takes to be presentable for company). Got the cake in, got myself in the shower, and now, just minutes before they arrive, I had time to come back here and whine! When am I going to learn?

Oh Nora! Good for you that you still had everything fairly well taken care of! Once upon a time I had everything within a 15 minute pick up. Then I had my 2nd, went through some PPD, and am still trying to get my act back together. Maybe I'll go shine my sink today. :embaresse

The worst for me was the day my 2-year old was sorting through the pantry. I thought he was just grabbing a cracker until I heard him start gagging. He had gotten into the baby cereal (the super powdery stuff) and poured a bunch down his throat! I thought he was going to explode. I got a bunch of water for him, and he was okay just a few minutes later. Needless to say, he didn't eat much dinner that night with a tummy full of oatmeal.
