If you live anywhere in the Ohio/Michigan/Indiana area you know Cedar Point and probably grew up going there just as I have. Cedar Point is one of the worlds TOP coaster/amusment parks. Anyhoo... while my sister is visiting from Colorado she wanted to go, so a whole clan of us are going and MY JOHNNY is 49 inches and tall enough to ride most of the coasters. OMG! He is excited and I can't freakin' WAIT!
We sat for about a half hour this afternoon and watched videos of the rides, like this:

I'm not bringing my nice digi cam, but we bought a couple disposables, so I'll scan my pics in and share later next week!

OOOO that sounds fun! But, if you don't want to take the time to scan the photos, most developers offer CDs now, and they usually don't take any longer to get them. The fee will be anywhere from $3.50 to $6.00 a roll, and I personally think it is totally worth it!
I am glad your kiddo gets to go on the rides! That will be a ton of fun! And,, hey Val! I have missed you!

Oh cool! I never work with film anymore and didn't know I could get a CD. I will DEFINATELY do that, need 'em for my digi pages :)
I missed you and everyone too! This summer is soooo busy and crazy for us! We've been gone or have had extended company for the last month. Before I know it the summer will be over though, so I'm going to enjoy it!

We just got back from Cedar Point a few weeks ago! Of course we had to drive 15 hours to get there but we all had a blast (all 11 of us that went)! My husband & brother-in-law & nephew rode every single one of the big coasters several times! Poor Collin ended up getting sick at the end of the second day but he didn't care! I didn't ride any of them but I did take the younger kids on alot of the other rides which was fun too! Have fun on your trip Val! Johnny's gonna have a blast!

OMG girls, yesterday was SO FREAKING fun! Ok, it was a scorcher, major heat advisories, we were nuts to be dragging our kids around there. It was 103 at the peak of the day and SO humid. We guzzled water all day and never had to pee (sorry to be graphic, but that was weird!).
Ok, Johnny rode a smaller coaster that I had picked out for him first and LOVED it. He went on and on about it. Another smaller one and he liked it a lot but said he was dizzy when he got off. Probably the heat. Got him a bottle of water and a pretzel. Then I think I was a little too ambitious and put him on my FAVORITE ride, the Magnum. It is very fast, 205 feet tall and pretty darn intense.
He hated it, lol!
I will scan in the photo they took during the ride to show you his face. That was it for the big coasters for him for the day. Though he did ride the twirly rides and the first coaster that he liked again.
MY EDEN IS A FREAK! She rode everything she could, even the big grown-up twirly rides (she can ride with an adult) and loved everyone of them. Didn't even look startled by them. SHE will be my coaster enthusiast. She rocks!
Those of you who have been to the park in the last couple years... have you ridden the Top Thrill Dragster? OMFREAKINGGOD! It was the most awesome thing I've ever ridden! You blast out, reaching 120 mph in less than 4 seconds. DANG! Then they shoot you up a tower that is 420 feet tall, twist up to the top, crest over that top and twist back down. The whole ride is about 23 seconds.
I know, silly to go on and on, but it was the biggest rush of my life. So awesome.
I'll share pictures when we get our film developed. Because of being pregnant and then having infants I haven't been able to ride my beloved coasters in NINE YEARS. It was so fun.
OOH! Found a video of it. Naturally it's WAY more intense IRL, but you get the idea.

Sounds like fun, Val! My goal once I have this baby is to lose weight so that I can comfortably ride roller coasters next spring. It's been a while since I've been on one, too, and longer since I've been on one comfortably. I LOVE them, though! Glad you guys had a blast!!

Ok, here's Johnny and I on the Magnum, the one he freaked out on. LMAO! I can not look at this picture w/o almost peeing myself.

oh yes I grew up in Michigan, we used to take our boat to Cedar Point every summer, I looooved it so much! haven't really been since I've moved to Chicago but I miss it so much, the stupid Six Flaggs park here sucks in comparison. There is no feeling in the world like riding the Millenium Force. the single most thrilling experience of my life!!!
Have fun and i'm so jealous!
