LOL before you think I'm relishing in 2nd place, I just to point out that--at this moment--I am the #2 DigiChick poster. Thanks to Rachael's trip this weekend, I've managed to move right on up the ladder! At this moment, I'm about 50 posts ahead of her. hehehehe!

Just thought I'd share!

I told her to go wake Daddy up and dozed until 7am. Now I'm just tired...not so tired I'm almost in tears like I was yesterday, but still tired. :regular_s

lol I don't know how you do it either, Karen! I'm busy with this board and Maggie. Maybe you've got kids who will actually entertain themselves. Miss Maggie is QUITE demanding of my attention. I swear sometimes that she's going to grow and be on a stage somewhere. She wants an audience ALL the time!

Hom74
07-20-2006, 06:39 PM
If it was just my oldest (3 yo old) it would be easy b/c she can entertain herself. I remember when she was a little over a year and I was pg w/#2 I had all day sickness the entire time. After we went out after her morning nap we would always come home for about 30minutes to change diapers, eat a little something before heading out again. usually I was able to get a quickie nap on the couch and she would just play quietly :D Such a doll.

Totally different story now that there's 2 and after the 2nd one started walking! Lots of GOYB Parenting - Get Off Your Butt Parenting. And the little one needs mommy more than DD1 did. Luckily they get 2 nice naps :D

gee, I'm doing good to get one layout done and I've got a 2.5 yr old who has decided she doesn't want to nap anymore! I do work from home a couple of hours each day, too, (though only a couple--I'm an online writing tutor) but still...

LOL..... I always said you dont get 2 "bad" babies...... until my friend Jen had 2 little collicy girls, LOL.......

I am so lucky to have such great kids. They really can entertain themselves so well and they respect that I need "mommy" time!

well, my kitchen floors are sparkly now! YAY!

Do any of you SAHMs feel the pressure to keep your house sparkly? My house isn't (far from it, actually), but I feel pressured to keep it that way. The people who are coming tomorrow both work and pay somebody to come clean their house once a week or every two weeks or something. Their house was sparkly the last time we went and I feel the need to have mine in the same state. By the way, no way would they ever say anything--they are super duper nice. It's not pressure anybody else is putting on me; I'm doing it all by myself.

Oh, and that doesn't mean that I think those who work outside the home are bad either--I don't know how you guys do all that you do. I'm worn out just doing what I'm doing, and you do a whole other job on top of it, too!

enough rambling. can you tell I'm a bit frantic at the moment? lol just ignore me. :tongwink:

RachelS
07-21-2006, 01:18 PM
i feel pressure to keep my house sparkly as well. i never have people over because the people in GA that i know are rather judgemental (IMO) and i do not want them to think less of me. i just don't care that much about having a sparkly clean house. we LIVE here. my kids are happy and i get to play with them. if the house was immacculate all i would be doing is cleaning all day. that would be horrible for me.

InLoveWithDOTS
07-21-2006, 01:33 PM
LOL, I am NOT a sparkley house person. I dont know why, but I just cant get decluttered. I dont think its a fire hazzard or anything, LOL, but it always has a lived in feal. I have spent the past 2 hours catching up on ills and banking! What a chore it is to spend money! I think I will go shower and then vacuum! Maybe I will even tackle a room in the house today.....

sinead
07-21-2006, 01:53 PM
lol. I'm a clutter girl, too. My parents' house is always so clean--but really, it's just not cluttered. It's lived in (but super clean!) but they just don't leave stuff around. I'm a stacker. So is DH. Maggie is just a toddler with WAY too much stuff!
