What is the most embarrassing thing that guests have found in your living room? Not the bathroom or bedroom, but the living room (or family room).

I'll start. It would have to be one of my undergarments. I have a terrible habit of taking my bra off where ever I feel like it. Once, when a friend dropped by, I looked around to see 4 different bras just hanging on chair arms. Too embarrassing! OK, not enough for me to keep silent, but still embarrassing!

Umm...well, my parents came to visit us and meet their new grandson and we thought that since the baby was asleep and we had time before they got there and umm....well, they walked in on DH and I in umm....the most intimate moment between husband and wife.

well it's not as bad as my sister's....

her apartment had been burglarized while she was out of town, so my parents went over there to sort stuff out with the police. my sister was on the phone with my dad when my mom discovered her... uh... personal toy... (KWIM?) and yelled from across the room "they didn't take your vibrator"

my mom is the prude in the family. dad doesn't care. he just doesn't want to talk about it, KWIM? my sis and i ran into him at an adult-type store shortly after my 18th birthday (we figured it was another one of those things you "should" do when you turned 18... like buying cigarettes and lottery tickets)

ETA: my parents have been divorced for quite some time now and are both remarried. my stepdad is much more conservative than my dad.

omgosh these are funny..
when I went into labor with DS#2.. 2 months early.. I hadnt cleaned the house..
before we left to go to the hospital.. I stripped in the living room.. and put on fresh undies and all that.. and left all my old in the middle of the living room.. (I thought I would be back in a few hours - after they stopped my tummy ache)
well NOPE.. I wasnt allowed back home! the entire time I kept saying.. but I HAVE to go home.. I have underwhere next to the tv! My inlaws walked in.. and started cleaning.. and never said a word to me..

I would love to take my bra off all over the house like everyone else is mentioning, but I can never tell when DD will have her 18-20 yo male friends over without notice. The other night, I was watching tv in the bedroom, around midnight, and I went to put the puppy in her kennel. I had my nightclothes on and went be-bopping into the main part of the house, only to find DD's friend, Alex, sitting there. Not a fun moment. Luckily I was totally covered, but still not really in an outfit I'd like people to see me in. Sheesh!

You know, this thread, and the embarrassing thread are making me feel a whole lot better about myself! When I tell people IRL about these things happening to me they just look at me like I am very very weird for 1) thinking it is funny, and 2) thinking anything like that would happen to them!

Since we are talking about undies...

We bought a hide a bed because we have a tiny house, with no guest room. So, like any couple would, we "tested" it. In the process I lost my undies. I looked and looked, and never did find them. Fast forward a couple of weeks. We had out of town guests, the used the hide a bed. Not a word was ever said, but I did find my undies hanging on our bedroom door the next morning!

Once my friend (I won't say her name, poor girl!) was going through some "female" problems, and she was required to douche with medicine a couple of times a day. This meant she had this big ol' douche bag hanging on the shower curtain to dry, almost all the time. Well her hubby had some friends over, without telling her first, and yes, the poor girl was embarrassed. Oh, not because her equipment was hanging up, but because one of the friends came out of the bathroom swinging it, using the nozzle tip like a handle!
