I am always the one that is forwarding emails to my friends and family about spoofs and such. I "thought" I was pretty well versed in that area...boy was I wrong!:whatchuta I had my laptop on the counter upstairs this morning while doing laundry downstairs. I ran up to get dd some juice and noticed Outlook popping up a bunch of times so I quick checked my email. I had over 30 listing confirmations for a bunch of sunglasses! Thanfully I caught it right as they started to do it and they hadn't changed my password yet. I had no idea how they got my password. Well, after talking to the CS at ebay, they told me that now expeirenced ebayers are getting caught in the traps too. I had sold a couple things last month and had a bunch of questions asked on them. When you ask a question through ebay, it goes in your my messages and sends you an email. I responded to the question through the email and that is how one of them got it. They are getting really good with this spoof stuff! I have now learned my lesson, NEVER NEVER NEVER respond to ANYTHING through an email!!! :confused_

Even though they couldn't get into my PayPal account (different password thankfully!) I changed every account password that I had last night!

I think you bring up a good point, if you've had a password for a long time, it could be a good idea to change it. I'm really sorry you had this happen. I'm going to be thinking of a couple new passwords and make some changes.

It was time to change them anyways..lol I have used that same 2 passwords for years. So instead of using all numbers like before, I have a long pw with letters and numbers. The only bad thing is that I tried to buy something last night and forgot what my paypal pw was!:baring_te AND I forgot where I put my list of new passwords.

This could be a good and bad thing..lol

This is a really cool program for keeping up with your passwords.
http://keepass.sourceforge.net/

All letter passwords are the easiest to hack, letters and numbers a bit better. The best is uppercase and laoercase letters, numbers AND special characters.
