Hiho volunteers! I'm back with photos, some photos of his artwork, and projects, and some journaling, etc.
Unless I'm mistaken, I can't send attachments to you all through p-mail. (Or am I wrong about that?) So, if you can send me your regular email address (just pmail me), I would appreciate it.) If this is ok with everyone, I think what I will do is start by sending the photos/memorabilia for two pages. They DO NOT have to make a two page spread; they simply should coordinate (or not clash) with one another in the album. When you finish the initial two pages, please send them back to me. If you have the time or desire to do more, let me know then, and I will email you more photos as we go along.
There were some questions raised about sizes, details, etc. I'm asking you to make the layouts in 12x12. I can print smaller if necessary, but we can't really upsize if the layout is made smaller to begin with, kwim?
Most of the photos are extremely poor quality. Most of us here are obsessive photographers and are not used to working with "average" family photos. Many of them are damaged or just very poor quality. I'm asking those of you who are able to work some "magic" on the photos to please do so. Be as creative as you want to be. If you want to add filters, sharpen, color correct...whatever, please go ahead and do it. These are scans of her original photos, so we can't hurt them by doing our best to pretty them up. Some of them are very very grainy. We may choose to use artistic filters on these or something to make them look more "deliberate".
I have faith in you fabulous ladies. I am not going to ask you to use certain colors, fonts or anything else. Just when you get the photos/journaling or any information I give you, go with your gut and do your best work. Each page will be from your heart and what you think is the best scrap for those photos and that's all I can ask for.
For photos that lack journaling (many, many of them do), please feel free to simply find an appropriate quote or scripture. Faith is the only thing holding them together right now, so if you feel the urge to use scripture or words of encouragement as journaling or a title, please go with your gut. If you are having any problems with the photos I've sent you or with ideas for title/journaling, etc just email me, and we'll see what we can figure out together. Part of why I knew I could really use help with this, was that I wasn't sure I'd be able to come up with all these ideas on my own! :P
A little about Hunter. He was nine years old in May. He was a very "BOY" kind of boy and loved to be physical and outdoors. He loved jumping on his trampoline and he swam in the pool almost every single day. He'd gotten to be a very good swimmer. He liked to tease his little brother and his sisters and pick fights, but was also very affectionate with them. Many of the photos, he has his arms around them. He liked the tv show "Two and a Half Men" because he liked the little boy on it, and watched it with his family almost every week. He LOVED bikes, four-wheelers and motorcycles. Much of his artwork is pictures of motorcycles. He was buried in a Fox motocross outfit. He loved to ride his bike and was on it constantly. He liked to prank and laugh and spend time with his family. His family describe him as a "character" and a "little stinker" for some of his antics. Some were silly and some really got him into trouble.
I will give as much specific info as I have individually when I send the photos or scans.
Thank you so much, again!
