So Jan and I are ready for school to start again... anyone else??? LOL!
We've been up for about 2 1/2 hours and I've broken up at least 4 fights already! Ugh!
We've actually had a fairly uneventful summer and it's gone by really quick. But now the last couple weeks have really started draging. We've been lucky enough to be able to go outside to play the last 3 days or so! It's cooled off to under 100! Woo Whoo! That makes it a little easier to manage...
My boys start back on the 14th of this month. Matthew is going to be riding to bus to school this year and going in the afternoon, not the morning. Which of course, instead of me getting a little extra time, I'll still have to be home at 3 because Ryan gets home 1/2 hour before Matthew will! LOL!
DH will also be changing shifts again at the end of Aug., then he will be home during the week and working on the weekend. So I'll have 2 weeks to myself in the house, and then he's home.

Wow, your schools start early! The schools in our district won't be in session until September 5 or 6! They get out kind of early, too, the last week of May.

School starts here on Aug 10, but Maggie's Mother's Morning Out (3 glorious days of 4 hours of activity for Miss Maggie--yay!!) starts the Tuesday after Labor Day. Maybe I'll actually get some rest! Whooohooo! I can't wait!!

LOL - you're going to spend your time catching up on your sleep, Sinead!

Yeah - we start Aug. 14 and then they go until the week before Labor Day in May.

Yes...I'm starting to get ready for school...sort of! My kids go back Sept 5 so we still have a month. My older 2 are in school all day, but my younger 2 aren't even ready for preschool. I could send my 3 yr old, but he absolutely refuses to go and he isn't potty trained yet so I just don't feel like he's ready so I'm waiting til next year.

I do enjoy sleeping later, but I also kind of like the structure of the school day. I'm counting the days til all of mine are in school full-time...let's see...about 4 years. LOL! :D

It's been too hot here to play outside way too many times this summer and that is frustrating. It's even too hot to go to the pool. I have asthma so I can't go out when it's like this and the kids hate it.

Hey! Hi Michelle!! Yes..I'm trying to get back into the swing of things and get back to scrappin'.

You can come over and stop a few fights here too if you'd like! I got them all split into different rooms and 1 napping right now so for at least 5 min hopefully they'll be silence!!

Oh mine start on August 28th and we are busy starting to buy some school supplies - bookbags, lunch bags and school shoes - and off to go fit for uniforms next (will cry probaby when I see my baby Hayley in her little uniform..sniff, sniff). The girls are in day camp now and I am taking them out next week so that they have 2 weeks to lounge at home before they go to school....but I can already feel the excitement of going back to school.....and hopefully a more structured life....hehe

It's kind of weird for me... this is the first year that my daughter isn't getting into the back-to-school routine (she graduated in May). She's been going to community college this summer and will have a month off later in Aug-late Sept before fall quarter. But we thought that she'd go off to 4-year college in winter quarter, but she and I had a long talk about it yesterday and she doesn't feel that she's ready to leave home... so we'll do community college for a full year and plan for her to transfer to Western next fall. So I guess I'm not going to be an empty nester in a few months after all. :)

The step-kids just moved across state with their mom, so we're not even in the back-to-school mode with them. :(

I miss school supply shopping.

OMG.. I've been complaining about the fighting for a couple weeks now. They're driving each other bonkers.

I'm SOOOO ready for school to start. Don't get me wrong.. I love my babies and love to play with them, but this year with be the 1st year that they're BOTH in school... I'll have ME time for the 1st time in 6 1/2 years. LOL

LOL, Laura!
Kimberlee - I LOVE school supplies! I've had a hard time this year not buying up everything in sight. It's all so cost effective, but... we just don't need it!

The boys have built 2 forts today (dining room chairs with sheets over it) in the living room, but each time they do - they fight with each other non-stop! Ugh! It's supposed to be a fun activity, right? Right?

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I will NOT go back to school yet! You'll have to send me back kicking and screaming! I've only been on vacation, this is my 3rd week. Summer master's classes took a 6 week bite out of my vacation and I'm so not ready to go back.
