What is your childhood nick name, and how did you get it?
Mine was Snobby. I got it when I was a toddler because when my Dad wanted me to come sit with him, I would stick my nose up in the air and walk on by. Good thing they thought it was funny!
now your turn...

I was Pepper (tattoo'd on my leg) from my mom cause I was so DARK compared to my sister...she got Salt but that didn't stick but mine did...I love my nickname...=P
Also another nickname is Kari (car-ee)...A lot of ppl couldn't pronounce my name properly so my mom short formed it and then they couldn't get that right either so I'm Kari (carry) too.

Mine was Motor Mouth. No one else could get a word in edgewise. My Mom used to say that my sisters were not quiet...they just couldn't get in a word with me around. Once I'm comfortable with people you can't get me to shut up. At first I'm kinda shy though.
The name didn't really stick into adulthood though (thankfully!)

I didn't have one specific nickname. Grandpa called me Big Red for most of my childhood, which I always loved. People tried Charlie, but that never stuck. The youngest few siblings called me "Neeny" before they could say "Charlene" and I finally had to beg them to stop when they were speaking in complete sentences :) It's cute from a 1-year old but not quite so cute from a 4-year old!!

My Dad's cousin had a girl names Jeanine, and everyone called her Neeny, too! But, the poor girl is in her 40s now, and I think they still call her that!

I had to nick names. My mother always called me Grace because I was forever hurting myself and ending up on crutches. The other was after I was on crutches she would call me "an accident looking for a place to happen."

My family just called me Lee. I hated it then and I still hate it today. Only my Grammy & my best friend still call me Lee.
On rare occasion, my mother would call me Calamity Jane because of my numerous sprains and strains during my childhood.
During my late teens/early 20s, I met a guy who insisted on calling me Red. He's the only one who ever has, and even now, fourteen years later, he still does.

My grandmother used to call me Laurie Liz because my middle name is Elizabeth. Laurie Liz turned into Izzie. But only my grandmother was allowed to call me that; although my grandfather used to tease me with it. My brother and sister call me Lor and my dad calls me Orbie or Orb which I think comes from saying Laurie fast. Funny things is that no one calls me Laurie and I get irritated if anyone else does actually.

I don't really have or had a nickname. One of my aunt called me "clochette" (=little bell) since it begins like my first name, but it didn't last for very long.
On the opposite, I use nicknames for my 3 best friends: Stéphanie = Nanie, Nora = Nuci (said noo-chi, her mom is from Holland and she called her the Holland version of Nora, which we couldn't pronounce correctly, so we ended up calling her Nuci... it was the closest to her real name we were able to say! LOL) and Céline = Vévine. Silly, I know, but I love these nicknames!!!

The only nick name I ever recall having wasn't really much of a nick name, but more of something my aunts called me out of frustration...and that would be "smart a$$" LOL

my extended family still calls me Christie as I was raised that way and didn't use Christine until college. Makes my kids giggle, but my immediate family (ugh, still sometimes!) calls me BIRD. Why??? Because they think I looked like a baby bird when I was born (I do not find this amusing because I think baby birds are so homely!) Now I am referred to as Queen Bird of the Many Chicks because of all our daughters....I do call my girls "chicks" when I want to get them all going somewhere or get their attention -- like, "OK Chicks -- time for bed" etc ROFL
