Ok, I'm having a surprise party for my best friend Gina. I had bought her a little gift, but it ended up not turning out like I thought it would. (it's one quick little bold out scrap thingies... it just isnt' working for me) What can I do quickly!? I need something ASAP! And if I print out layouts for her? LIke I don't know where to begin. I have that balloon ribbon stuff, card stock, photo paper, some stickers.... um, what do you guys think. I have lots of pictures from her wedding, pictures of her daughter, pictures of her with her husband.... Any suggestions? HELP ME!

Do a layout on your relationship with her - what she means to you - and print it!

My suggestion... run to the craft store and buy a cute little 8x8 album, then go to the Mini Album Kits (http://www.thedigichick.com/boutique/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=23) section of the Boutique and grab one of those. They are super cute and you just have to slap photos in and a title. Print them and you're done. Also, Shabby Princess has some really cute ones too. Good luck!

do you have time to go to the store to pick up some frames? maybe choose 4 from her wedding or dd or family wise and get small frames so she can put them all together in one area of her home on the wall. You know like a square of two across and 2 down of frames - hope that makes sense....good luck! And the ole standby I wish more people would get me :) - get a visa/mastercard gift card with instructions to get something for her......

Just based on what you said you have on hand, I'd think about making her a series of 6x6 or maybe 8x8 layouts - you could do a little history of her family of sorts - a layout from her wedding, of her and her husband, and some of her daughter as she's growing, etc. You could print your layouts, mount them on cardstock that's cut maybe a half inch wider on each side and then use your ribbon to tie them all together in a cute little pacakge. Just a thought - good luck with whatever you do :)

Seriously you guys are amazing with your ideas. I've been so paniced cleaning the house, decorating that I forgot that last night the present I made was not acceptable! You guys are such a great help and so darn quick! I just sent my husband off to the store to buy a 4x6 album. I'm going to do what you guys suggested... I'm looking and see several people have 4x6 templates... :) I'm going to do like you said and do like a journey thing... as friends, married, baby, etc. :) I think it will be really special for her. Thank you guys so much! :)

This is a totally different route but if you have a starbucks near you - their travel mugs that you can personalize with pictures would make a great gift. I used them as gifts last year for Christmas. You can create your own template (they have pre-made templates online where you just add pictures- but I just copied the shape of the template and made my whole own LO). The mugs are like 10 dollars or so. Not every store carries them though so I would call first if your interested in that kind of gift! HTH!

Ok, they didn't have ANY cute 4x6 albums so we got a 8x8 and now I'm off to buy some quickpages! :) Thanks everyone!
