ACK! I can't believe it! So I have BOTH kids in school and I am home by myself. How did this happen? They were running around in diapers with runny noses just yesterday (ok, not really. but it sure feels like it). She was SO excited and didn't mind at all that I left. In fact, I was standing around watching the circle time and she turned around and loudly asked, "Mom? Are you leaving soon?"
Um. Ok. No seperation anxiety happening here.
So these 6 hours a week are offically going to be 'office time'. The coffee's on... time to get to work!

Aww Val... how exciting. And OMG... she really said that? How am I not surprised with that girl. LOL Regan starts on the 18th and I'm a little nervous. I'm looking forward to some me time after over 6 years of having little people attatched at the hip, but she's my baby, and she needs me... right?
She's very excited though, so that should make it a little easier.

Congrats, Val! I know - time goes by so quick - you'll blink and they'll be graduating...
1st off - that's awesome that she went, loved it and was eager for you to leave!
2ndly - Yay on time for you!

I'm so glad that it went well for her. I'm hoping for the same thing here. Thursday's the orientation for her and it's only an hour. Next week...we'll see how she (and I!!!) do.

Maggie went to Mother's Day Out yesterday for the first time and did great (except for nap time) and did really well going back this morning, toO! YAY! Of course, I don't get the time off--I'll be working online while she's gone. At least I get to go to the Y and work out, though! :regular_s
Glad it went well!!

LOL! When I went to pick her up of couse I heard her talking very loudly in the next room. I'm a little afraid because all I could hear was, "My mommy..." this and "My mommy..." that. Yikes! She always says the most honest (i.e. embaressing) things. When we left the class I said, "Eden! How was your first day of school?" And she said,
"There are SO MANY RULES! I can't keep them straight!"
So cute! My son was bawling when I picked him up from HIS first day of preschool. They are SO different!

Oh, and do you like her bag? I made it myself, tee hee. It's a little poodle applique and varsity letters for her name. And I stitched the heart buttons on in clusters. Most of the other kids OBVIOUSLY decorated their own bags, but I wouldn't let her touch hers, lol!

Aw, glad things went so well for you Val. Love the bag, it is cute. Why was your son crying? Did he want mommy? Also, hope DD wasn't saying anything embarassing.

My daughter started Kindy this year and she was just the same. She was sooo ready for school. You're going to love the "me" time. I never thought I would get such joy from shopping all by myself.http://www.thedigichick.com/forums/images/icons/icon7.gif LOL. The bag looks really good.

I know Val... I just ran across the photos we took at Chuck E Cheese of the kids and Eden was still wearing diapers. Her and Regan both looked SO YOUNG... Riley too. No more growing up... we gotta figure out a way to stop it!:23:

And yet for some reason Johnny appears to have not grown at all. Go figure! He is going to be 8 in two weeks.

Val, Isn't it crazy how fast they grow? It seemed like we would always be changing diapers and yet now my "baby" is in SECOND GRADE! As much as I want them to stay little, though, I am with you- I totally enjoy this time to myself! I deserve it! ;)

You totally deserve it Rachael! We met with Regan's teachers today and found out that, yes, she starts on the 18th. Her schedule will be 8:30-1:45 M-F and to ease into it, she gets to go two half days next week. She is SO excited.

Gosh, such a long day for a preschooler! I know we've talked about this before, but where I'm at you can't even FIND a preschool with those hours. Our 4-year-old programs run 2 hours, 2 1/2 hours max, 3 days a week.

Wow - that is a long PS!
Matthew is another "2.5 hours - 3 days a week" preschool goer! I'm wondering how he's going to take the cahnge next year to kindergarden - new school, new teachers, new friends for the 1st time. He's been in the same room/teacher since he was 3 1/2!

Oh Val so glad it went so well for you.......I smiled at the bag and your dd's "honesty"....know that feeling of wondering what your kid is saying about you or repeating that you said.
So now that you have all this time - when are we going to see a new kit from ya???? :)
