In a way this is scrapbook related......

I am so aggravated (with my dear sweet, loving, etc....husband)!!

I recently purchased a set of the most gorgeous frames ever. Oversized cherrywood frames with 4 openings each. In each frame, I put 2 pictures of Camille and 2 printouts of some of my favorite papers (from Rachel's Mulled Cider kit).

So, I hung these gorgeous works of art in our stairway - visible from the front door. They're magnificent. I smile every time I see them. I purposefully come through the front door instead of the garage.

So....cut to the chase. Tonight DH is headed up the stairs and wouldn't you know it...Camille is trying to hang on to him, his hands are full, he stumbles. Down comes hubby, down comes my decor.

One frame is busted, I'm teary eyed (monthly appropriate timing), and DH is upset cause I'm more concerned with a frame than his well-being. And not that I don't care about my DH, but I just spent so much time making the whole thing perfect ---- eh, aggravation!!

Sorry for the vent - just had to get it out there!
Anyone else have a grrrr..... moment today???

Oh... I'm so sorry to hear that. How cool that you created that though. Is there a way to get another to replace it? Glad DH and Camille are okay. Totally understand your frustration! Hugs!

Bummer. That really stinks. And, obviously, I'm sure if your dh or Camille were really hurt, you would have been more concerned about them. I'd just tell him that they were OBVIOUSLY all right...so you feel justified in being upset about the frames!

update - frame is salvageable! I just need a brown marker and some glue, and i think it might be able to regain some of its former glory!

Christine, I'm glad to hear all turned out OK. But men! Will they never understand! Jeesh! Of course we're more concerned with the decor, they always heal! ;)

Anyway, wanted to let you know I have a set of these markers that I bought at I think the grocery store of all places that are made for touching up wood, they are 3 shades of brown (supposed to be like stain) to match up to your wood. Let me know if you need more info and I'll look for mine at home!

The markers are also available at Walmart, Target and Michael's - I have cherry wood in my home with two girls who like to "toss" barbies in the air with sharp objects - don't ask me why they just do! OHhhh and I am so glad you were able to salvage them....I can understand your feelings - I go through that too.....and like you said your dh was fine! :)

Hey Christine, sorry it took me so long to get back here, everytime I remembered to look for the pen I wasn't at home! LOL!

It's a Guardsman Touch-up Pen. Made by Guardsman Products, Inc. The pen says the company is ins Grand Rapids, MI and like I said I bought the 3 pack of pens in the grocery store. They work great!
