The super cool Heather Roselli put together this kit for me and I thought that maybe I'd get a jump start on the baby announcement so that it would be easy to do once the baby got here.
Here's my first stab at it...

Please share any constructive criticism! I want it to be pretty. :regular_s

I think it looks great! Do you have any little blossoms you can add?

I love it, but I am partial to asymmetry...maybe add flowers like Val suggested or maybe one of the woven tags I made for the kit? Angled, overlapping the photo a little bit?

hey sinead! how about lowering the pic a bit so it overlaps the light pink rectangle? just an idea to make it look more 'custom' kwim? it's really prettY! and how sweet of heather!! :D

I think its really cute & girly, but maybe needs a little embellishment, like maybe some baby footprints or something else baby. Also I thought I'd share the wording we used on Kelsie's announcements, since I know Maggie is getting a baby sister like Kaylie was. I found this wording in one of those fancy birth announcement order books & just loved it!
A new baby sister as cute as can be,
I’ll be the best big sister ever, just wait and see!
Announcing the birth of
____________
Born on ____________ at ____
___ lbs ___ oz.
___ inches long
_______ hair and _______ eyes
Proud Parents
______________________
And
Excited Big Sister

I think it looks great too, but I would add something like, "Welcome our" Baby Girl __________ Turner. That way it doesn't sound so generic. Only my thoughts though.

It's very pretty as it is. But I think flowers would help "girlify" it a bit. Maybe a row of tiny flowers on each side instead of the brads on the ribbon? Or maybe put a flowery overlay on the dark pink mat or the light pink rectangle? Something very subtle. Or a flowery border around the pic?

I'm with Heather about symmetry, I would give a little "twist" to it to make it less straight. Otherwise, it's great, could definitely inspire me for my friend's announcement!

i like incorporating the baby footprints idea - you could scan those in from the birth announcement and put them on a tag maybe?
the colors are so soft & sweet! i can't wait to see the finished product!
