Ohmygosh... I'm so excited. Stephen King's latest book "Lisey's Story" is out today. I just printed off my Borders Rewards Club coupon and I'm hitting the store tonight. Yay! Now I just need a few dedicated hours to get through it.

I'm always so torn when I get one of his new books. Part of me wants to read it slowly and savor it all. But the other part of me wants to hurry up and gorge on it, reading as fast as I can to get through it.

:embaresse Okay... I'm a book geek.

Anyone else going to read it??

I noticed this today when I got an email from BN. I'm very tempted to read it. I haven't read a Stephen King book in years. I'm too cheap to buy it so I'll just wait my turn at the library (I'm #64 on the list LOL!!).

I also like to read Dean Koontz. Have you read the Odd Thomas series? The 3rd book comes out next month! I can't wait!! :)

I'm a book geek too!! :)

I haven't read a Stephen King book in years either! I used to be a huge fan! It now takes me months to get thru a book so I read scrapbook magazines instead! LOL!

I'm with you, Nikki....the "Odd Thomas" books by Dean Koontz are awesome!
I used to be an avid Stephen King fan, but was so disapointed by the last one, "Cell".....I thought the storyline was great....but it seemed to run out of steam at the end! But I know I will have to read his new one!

I will have to check the Odd Thomas books out. Hmmmm. Thanks for the tip ladies!

I did pick up the book last night. I was so excited. But it cracks me up. For some reason, it seems to bother DH when I try to read a book. He could be totally ignoring me and watching tv, but the minute I pick up a book, he has to talk to me non-stop. Even if it is just commenting about commercials or something. So last night, I only got about 8 pages in before I ended up giving up for the evening. He's going out of town Friday afternoon and won't be back until Saturday evening, so I'll get it read Saturday morning. :) Luckily, I'm a fast reader (when I'm not interrupted).

I didn't like the Cell book that much either. Kind of funky. I think this is going to be a good one though. *crossing fingers*

Hee hee hee... it was trying, at moments, to get through it. Yesterday, I had about fifty pages left, so I snuck into the bedroom while he was engrossed in a football game. He came in to check on me, saw that I was almost finished, and started gabbing. :) I was down to the last four pages at that point. I did finish and it is worth reading/adding to your list. :D When we saw SK a week and a half ago, he was saying that the critics have really been generous to him on this book, stating that it is his best work. I think it is good, but my favorite will always be Bag of Bones.
