I am always having the most RANDOM thoughts. I thought it would be fun to share them with you. Give us something to talk about it right?

So....I was just thinking:

Why are Martin and Charlie both Sheen's? But Emelio is an Estavez?

lol...it's no fun, but they've got different moms, right? and was one of them married to Martin Sheen and the other wasn't?

My random thought for today? How is it that people lose 1 shoe on the interstate or in the middle of an intersection? 1 shoe. Not two. just one. Don't you think somebody (or lots of somebodies because there are lots of "one" shoes out there) would notice that one shoe was suddenly missing? I know that there's a tragic explanation for some of them, but that can hardly be the case for all of them.

That's always made me wonder.

Oh, and WHAT compels people to sling a pair of tied shoes up and over power lines? Seriously!? What are people thinking??

Okay...the 1 shoe thing is hilarious.

And the ghetto girl in me actually knows the answer to your second random thought...

Shoes are slung up on lines as a memory of a person lost. (Like murdered)
It's a gang thing. Its kinda like flowers and candles on a street corner, or those crosses you see on the highway. Same thing. It's like how they remember that person was apart of the neighborhood.

**ETA**

Okay, I got another one...

I was just watching that Reese Witherspoon mark Rufalo movie where she is a spirit.
How come she can't touch him, she can walk through walls and tables, and she cant pick up the phone, yet when they go to the house with the garden, she can ride in a car? Shouldn't she fall through???

i've noticed the one shoe thing too! and didn't know about the shoes on power lines.

i have random thoughts all the time. but of course now that I have the opportunity to post one, I can't think of any :embaresse. So now I'm going to try to think of one, but would that still be considered random?

Emilio is not a "Sheen" because he wanted to make it on his own and not be hired for having a famous father... at least that is what I heard many years ago.

I'm with you Sinead... I always think that about shoes. Especially if they are little kid shoes... I always dread seeing them because then I think of something horrible.

Kimberly... that is totally true about that movie.

I have too many random thoughts to even start to respond with a list of my own. ;) I drive DH crazy.

Why do we park in the driveway and drive on the parkway?

Why or how do missing socks stay missing until you give up and throw the mate away?

Why do I sound and act just like my mother?

LOL! You girls are so funny!
ANd my answer to all of it is this:
"Because it's Murphy's Law, that's why."
He explains everything away!!

Kim, thanks for that explanation! That makes sense!

Still don't get the 1 shoe thing, though, and OMG how funny about that movie! I haven't seen it but your explanation is cracking me up!

And Nora...what is it about socks? How is it that one can just "go missing"? Where the heck do they go? I swear, DH has about 4 random socks that just keep hanging out in the laundry basket because they don't match anything. I keep thinking that if I can just get caught up (yeah right, because that will ever happen) with ALL of the laundry I'll find the renegade socks. Sorta like there are 8 socks in my lone sock cycle but they never cycle through at the same time. I ought to just go on and pair them up--he'd never notice!!

hmmm...will have to think about more random thoughts...

Kim! Ooh Ohh! I know the answer to your first question!

Charlie Sheen's original name was Carlos Esteves. How do I know this? My Baby Name book has this huge list of people with their "Professional Names" and their "Original Names." Like Norma Jean Mortenson Baker was Marylin Monroe, that type of thing.

Oh Andrea, that has got to be a cool book! I bet most celebrities have the most plain jane names. Wouldn't it be funny if someone like Angelina Jolie was really Angela Johnson. HA!!!!

way back when i was in high school, and dating my hubby, we went to walmart with his brother. we were in my car- so i was driving, mike was in the front seat with me, bil was in the back seat. i don't remember what we went for, but i do remember that mike bought himself a new pair of shoes.

the store had one of those fortune scales (ya know- where you stand on it, and it tells you how much you weigh and then your fortune). we did that before we left (well, mike did. no self respecting 17 year old girl would ever weigh herself in front of the guy that she was dating, lol). mike set the bag with his shoes down next to the scale. we then got in the car and left. we probably stopped someplace to get something to eat (i don't remember anymore), but on the way home, mike had his feet hanging out the passenger side window. well- one shoe goes flying off. we laugh, because it's hiliarious and mike just shrugs- no big deal. we go a little farther, and for some reason, he takes off the other shoe. bil threw that out the window. we laugh some more.

mike asks for his bag from bil. bil says that it's not back there. well- it's not in the front seat, and we didn't put anything in the trunk. we discovered that mike had left his bag with his new shoes in it at the store, by the scale (he called when we got home and they checked and told him that yes, his shoes were there, lol). oh, he was so mad! especially since bil and i couldn't stop laughing, lol!

so there- i can now explain two lone shoes on the highway with the same story. :D

ok- now for my random thought of the day.

why is it that mcdonald's fries will stay warm in their box for long periods of time- yet turn ice cold the instant you remove them?

Why is it that being on the phone is an invitation for your children to destroy the house?? Well, I know it is to get your attention but come on!!!

Or that they have to have your attention right then, right now!!! When they were peacefully palying by themselves until you got on the phone/dishes/scrapping/dinner/laundry!!!
