Prayers Please!

Hey everyone! My mom told me a few minutes ago that my brother was admitted to the hospital today. He had a fever, flu like symptoms and back pain so they gave him something to bring the fever down and kept him for observation. Instead his fever went up to 104! They've decided to do an MRI in the morning to see if they can find the problem. My mom thinks it may be kidney stones... ouch, but if it is, the fever means there's also an infection involved! But, the symptoms are also frighteningly like Viral Meningitis... THAT is scary. Whatever it is, he's pretty sick and really needs your prayers and good thoughts!

AND, my mother never told me, but she stumbled down the stairs a couple months ago and hurt her knee. She finally went to the Dr. about it and is now in a brace and on crutches. He thinks it is most likely a torn Miniscus... way to go mom! Hopefully with the brace and staying off of it, she won't have to have surgery... eek!

Needless to say, their Thanksgiving is dampered a bit, but hopefully we'll have some good news in the morning!

Update to this prayer request. My daughter-in-law called about an hour ago to let me know that the Doctor's thought it serious enough to call in the MRI team tonight. They were doing the MRI 1:00 a.m. or there abouts. As soon as Mary Ellen gets the results she will call me. Seems they also suspect a blockage or growth in his brain. Please, please pray for my son. He needs a touch from God. So does mama. I am so freaked out that the tears won't stop. Thank you ladies for being so supportive.

Thank you so much everyone... it is SO comforting to know we have such an amazing group of women to support us during rough times. It's funny, cuz the 1st thing I thought when my mom told me (after praying myself of course) was "I need to post this at TDC cuz I know those girls pray!"

Little update... the Drs have ruled out Meningitis and the MRI didn't show any growths or blockages anywhere.. which is good. BUT, they still don't know what is wrong. So your prayers are still greatly appreciated!

Slight update. Just talked to my son. The doctors are now checking his legs for blood clots. He has a lot of pain and they want to make sure there are no blood clots. His fever is back up this morning and it looks like he will be spending another night in the hospital. They simply cannot figure out what is wrong with him. If I had my way, I would move him to Providence Hospital. I just don't trust this one at all. Please pray that he will get the good doctors to take care of him and not the ones we know are not so good.

I want to thank all of you gals for keeping us in your prayers and thoughts. No mama like seeing their child sick even when they are an adult. Bless you all for caring.
