I had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I was left truly grateful! Many of you know I have been struggling because my Mom fell, and was injured, We had to place her in a nursing home, and the thought of Thanksgiving without her was just too sad for us. So, we all chipped in, and the day was arranged. Mom did better than I had ever dreamed she would, and even stayed 1.5 hours longer than we anticipated! It was so sweet to see Mom and Dad holding hands and kissing, kissing, kissing all day long! They "celebrated" their 55th wedding anniversary the day she was admitted to the hospital, and it just makes me happy to see that they still love each other so much.

Any way, I had a few prayer requests for our family for Thanksgiving, and those needs and requests were not only met, but exceeded in every case! I am so thankful!

How about you? Did you have a happy Thanksgiving too?

Nora,
I'm so glad to hear you had a nice day with your mom!
We also had a great day... dinner at home with my husband's parents and aunt, then dessert at my sister's house with my parents, cousin and LOTS of little cousins.

Nora, that's so wonderful. God is so good :)

We had a lovely Thanksgiving; spent lunch with DH's family, and dinner with mine. Jasmine has a little head cold so she wasn't quite herself, but she had fun with her aunts, uncles and grandparents :) I'm so happy we were able to see both families :)

Nora, it's so good to hear that you had a great day!

you, too, Holly!

Yesterday was a scary day for us. One neurologist thought that my mom was on the verge of having another stroke or was perhaps bleeding in her brain, so he rushed her off to a different hospital. When she got there, the neurosurgeon saw no cause for alarm. This morning, the neurosurgeon says that she's showing every sign of being through the worst of it and on the road to recovery, so i guess that TODAY is my Thanksgiving day!! :regular_s

It's so fun to hear the stories of everyone's holidays... except Sinead's I guess, although I'm glad to hear it's OK now. We had our best Thanksgiving ever!!! I helped cook for the first time and realized just how BIG that job is. Yikes. Someday, though, it will be my turn to host the family so I'd better be ready. My brother from Las Vegas came with his family including their 3 week old baby. I think they're NUTS!!!!!! but so glad that I got to see my funny little nephew!!!!

Sinead,
I'm sorry to hear about your scary day, but I'm glad that she's on the mend!

A funny aside about today: I went to sleep last night with my DH sitting with his laptop in bed, plotting his shopping route for this morning. I woke up at 7 a.m., with him asleep next to me and said, "So I guess you're not going out early?" and he said, "I already went out and came back!"
Guess I was really asleep!

LOL Holly!! That's too funny!! :D

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving. We should have gone to my in-laws, but my FIL had surgery 25 days ago and we never thought he'd make it through the surgery and then we never thought he'd recovery and this past week he just has made such a remarkable turn around that he's had even the doctor flabergasted and wondering what's up??!!! So...even though it was just us...we've had so much to be thankful for that it was a fabulous Thanksgiving.

That is just so cool that you were able to do that, Nora!!!

Charlene - hope Jasmine feels better soon!

Sinead - how scary! Glad she's doing better!!!

Jenna - yikes!! 3 wekk old! They travel pretty easily that little at least! And you got to see him!

Holly - hillarious! I was home by 8am! :)

Michele - Glad you had a fabulous Thanksgiving with lots to be thankful for too! :)

We had a wonderful, relaxing Thanksgiving! We... BBQ'd!! Yes, that's right (and yes, layout to come!)!! My brother was supposed to come several weeks ago, but he was sick and didn't. My mom went ahead and made the Thanksgiving dinner she had planned then, for the turkey was already thawed out! So, we decided not to go to all that trouble again and BBQ'd! It was fun, yummy and easy!!! :)

So nice to hear the happy Thanksgiving stories :teeth_smi.

We had our best Thanksgiving ever yesterday. We went to another family's home; there were 4 families total. There was a lot of food and laughter.
