Ok not yet anyways but I talked to Marsha Zepeda this afternoon on the phone and well, she is ready....I am telling you she is ready - despite the baby's refusal to come out when she went to the doctor's this afternoon. There is a bit of discrepancy as to when her actual due date (from the 4th to the 9th) so I thought it would be fun to try and guess when she will have the baby and help Marsha smile right now while she is waiting. :) So post your guess here of when you think she will deliver and whoever is the closest will get one of her new "Baby Quote Packs" coming to the store next week. So what's your guess - post the baby birth date and time (PST) below....

Here's a quick update:
Went to the MD yesterday and he told me that I was about 1.5 cm dilated and had a very thin cervix. (Although he didn't give me an actual % of effacement.) Soooooo... we'll see. I really could go into labor at any second. With kid #3, I went from 4 to 10 in about 15 minutes so you never know, lol! What's killing me is the "not knowing" anxiety. I feel like I can't do/plan ANYTHING! argh! lol! But Darla has my cell# and I will be sending her a txt msg as soon as I have him so she'll be keeping you posted! :) (What would we do without Super Darla??? lol!)

Marsha, I have two words for you, Castor Oil. I have two friends that swear by it, two kids each that brought on their labors by like 1 teaspoon of the stuff or something silly like that!

That is soooo scary! :whatchuta B/C that's what girls use to make themselves "spontaneously abort" in the beginning of pregnancy... so I doubt I'll be trying that method, lol! But thanks for trying, lol! :)

My mom said it just made her really uncomfortable and still didn't bring on labor, so I wouldn't try it either.

Do you take/have you taken evening primrose oil? It won't cause labor, but it can help encourage it if it's on its way anyways (it's supposed to help make things easier too) :)

I was two weeks late with Jasmine, so I learned firsthand that none of the old wives' tales worked!! And we tried them all!!! (except the castor oil). actually, I've heard really good things about acupuncture, if that's something you'd like to try. Everyone I've heard from has gone into labor within 48 hours of the appointment (though hopefully you'll go into labor by then anyways!)

Nope... and I woke up at 4am thinking that I was having contractions... turns out I just drank too much tea before bed, lol!

AND... I'm feeling super sentimental today (and last night was horrible) because my mommy left to New York early this morning for their vacation. My mom, dad and baby sis went. :17: I thought it wouldn't bother me but I am sooooooooo sad! :sad_smile Of course I can't let them know that b/c it would ruin their fun but I am really missing them. (And their probably still sitting on the runway, lol!) When they let my sis make the arrangements, she forgot that this week was my "due" week. (She can be kinda ditsy sometimes, lol!) Anyway, just had to share that. I think I'm going to get ready and get the kids out today. I'm thinking of surprising dh and taking him out to lunch with the kiddos and then going to Berean (http://berean.com/be/) to buy Gideon (http://www.bigidea.com/videos/veggietales/vt029/)... I've really been wanting to watch it, lol! ;)

Oh Marsha. I'm so sorry. I know how that feels. I lived far away from my family with my pregnancies and it was so hard. My mom called me everyday to talk to me about how I was doing, but I still wished she was there sharing it with me. It was always hard on her too though because she wanted to be there with me. I was lucky enough to have her there for all of their births though. How long are they gonna be gone? ((big, big hugs - if I could get around your big big belly :omg_smile )) I know nothing is like having your mom there, but if it helps - we are all here for you! <---- in a non physically present kinda way :)

Awww Marsha I keep coming here first thing in the morning to check & see if there's any baby news yet! Hopefully those contractions will start up for real sometime soon! Has your doc mentioned a date for maybe being induced if you don't deliver soon? And I'm so sorry you're parents & little sis left for a vacation, how long will they be gone? Both my mom & stepmom were in the delivery room with us when Kelsie was born & I can't imagine not having them there with me when this baby gets here, I would be sad too! {{{Hugs}}} girl!!

They will be gone for 5 days... they'll be home LATE Wednesday night next week. My parents have always wanted to do "Christmas in New York" so my sis chose it for this year. Without thinking. LOL! I actually should have been with them... :( It would have been sooooooo much fun for all of us to go together but oh well. Hopefully in a few years we can go all together...

OH! And as far as baby stuff goes... (hopefully this isn't TMI) but I have a question for you all... I've lost my "plug" before so I wasn't surprised to lose it with this one but today, it's really, really GROSS. It's really thick and brown. (Kinda like when you're either about to start a period or when you're finishing one...) Is that normal? I'm going to call the nurse right now... Hopefully it just means that I'll be starting labor really, really soon!

I was having contractions all day yesterday but they started getting more consistent/painful around 3ish. They were about 10-15 min apart (more on the 15 min side) so I ended up going in about 830pm just to make sure. I was *still* at 1.5 cm and 80% effaced. They sent me home to rest. (Yay... lol!) It was actually a good thing b/c dh was exhausted from work and was in need of rest. I didn't sleep too good (obviously) b/c the contractions are getting more and more painful. (They last over a minute long each time!) They are now 6-10 minutes apart. I'm going to wait until they are more around 7 minutes apart (not 10) before I go in again. (I think)... lol! So if you don't hear from me again, it probably means that I'm at the hospital or walking around, lol! Wish me luck! Keep me in prayer, too! :60:
