After cleaning the house and doing a bunch of design-relating stuff, I decided I wanted to create something.
Hybrid.
Along the lines of our awesome Parade last summer: http://www.thedigichick.com/forums/s...ecoming-Parade

(but I'm not necessarily making a FLOAT...just something hybrid and fun)
We didn't get our new printer until last night, and then I had to go digging around for some cardstock. I don't have any that's truly white, so it's going to be on light gray paper.

So I'm off to search in the store for something fun to create.

Anyone else want to join me???

Hey guys,

I'm trying to jump in and get my feet wet with hybrid projects. I have a project in mind that would involve me printing out some digital paper and then mod podging it (that is a real phrase, right?) it to a cardboard-y like container.

Obviously, using my ink jet printer is out, since it will be one big hot mess when I apply to mod podge. I don't want to use photo paper, since it's too thick and I need to do a bit folding and creasing.

I was thinking of uploading the papers to a flash drive and taking it in to Office Depot or Staples and asking if they could do some laser prints of them. I know they don't do 12 x 12 exactly, but I thought they did prints in something like 13 x 19, or something like that. Has anyone done this before? Or do you have better suggestions? I'm hoping for something that is closer to the weight of traditional patterned paper and has more of a flat finish rather than a glossy one.

TIA
