    Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Teacher Appreciation Week at my girls' school starts on the 20th, so I need to get my butt in gear. How about helping me come up with some easy but cute gifts for the teachers in our lives?

I didn't want to be left out, so here I am. Thanks, Pamie!

Here's a fave I did for the beginning of the year ... used a drink holder for Sonic Drive-In, decorated front and back, added ribbons, buttons, etc. Then I stuffed each side with her favorite snacks (peanut m&m's and Diet Coke)!

cute ideas! I've got lots of hybrid projects in my gallery that we've given as gifts. I would say it depends on how many you need - keep in mind I say that because my dd is in the middle school and has about 8 teachers she wants to give things to!! LOL
So we're going to try to keep it simple this year

That drink holder is so cute, Sinead, the post it note holder is easy, its just a piece of chipboard, (or you could use a coaster, thin cardboard, dang you could use a cereal box if you wanted) Covered with a piece of digi scrap paper, edges sanded and inked, the little clip is from Staples and I just printed a little piece of the same paper for that. Then just glue the paper to the chipboard, clip the post-its on with the clip and add some ribbons for cuteness!

Here is a link to one of the hybrid clipboards I did.

Or you could use one of Kelleigh's boxes and fill it with a treat.

That's cute, Jill! I wish I was good with ribbon; I stink with it.

And no fears--there will definitely be Kelleigh's boxes involved.

What about filling one of Kelleigh's popcorn boxes with treats and a movie gift certificate (to theater or a rental place)? Always one of my fav gifts when I was teaching.

That's a good idea, too! Thanks! I'm waiting to hear what the theme is for each day, and then I'm going to get started on some of these.

I always fill one of my little boxes or bags with Dutch Bros. Dutch Bucks (coffee cash!). This might sound cheap, but I typically give them either $3 or $6 - one or two coffees. It is always VERY popular!!

PS - I used to be a teacher, and the one thing the teacher does NOT need is more nic-nacs. Things that are useful are better than things that are decorative. Of course, if it can be both, even better!!

Good points; I've had the same experience, Kelleigh.

I got the list from the director today, so here's what I'm working with:

    Monday - flower day
    Tuesday - relaxing day
    Wednesday - note day
    Thursday - special treat day
Friday - breakfast and snack day

I have several little things in mind so far. Yay!
