Power scrapping Project Life

Just wanted to share . I decided that I like the format of Project Life so much that I'm going to use it to get some of last years photos and stories into a book. I'm starting at January, and I'm pretty thankful I spent some time organising my photos this year!

I've used Dawn's Winters Touch kit mostly, and I'm really pleased with how they're coming along! I'll post the first here, but there are 2 other spreads both in the gallery and in a post on my blog.

It is SO tempting to want to go back once you start with PL. Man, now you have me thinking I can do PL digitially for 2011 and knock it out quickly. LOL!

Yay! I'm not the only one. I've so far started on an album about our familytrip to Greece october 2010... Will then move on to (at the same time no doubt) 2011...

I really want to go back and do more. I have so much "stuff" to add with my photos!

Um, later on sometime (like, next week? LOL) I should go downstairs in our basement and take a photo of the file boxes that are sitting on our countertop down there, and share it with you all... boxes that are FILLED with photos and scrap memorabilia from the past 10-20 years. That's right, 10-20 years!!! There's stuff in those boxes from my middle school days. I think there might be like 8 of those big file boxes. The good news: a few years ago, I organized it all (chronologically, in like 5-ish year segments) into those boxes... but then we had kids. And for like 4-5 years now, it's been sitting down there just WAITING to get scrapped. And then I started scrapping digitally... and so now, technically, it might be sitting there waiting to be SCANNED and then scrapped! *sigh* ...someday... someday...

Now that I have decided on doing this and like it too, I was like, "Oh darn, wish I knew about this at the start of last year"...lol because we had one amazing year. Will just have to work on a book in between this years

I did 3 more pages to finish up the pics that I had from last January! Yay! I'm SO SO SO happy that you mentioned this idea. I'm hoping to knock out last year in the next week or two and then I can focus on this year. YAY!

I've now started 2010 {here} . Will probably do them pretty much in parallel with this year as I like scrapping seasonally. Cos I'm OCD like that . Will have a few more to share already. Great work, Sinead!

Once I get myself in a routine with PL I am planning on working backwards on last year too. I still have all the irl photo's and papers to scrap as well so do not want to take too much on all at once.

I just ordered 5 books from ArtsCow. I'm finally printing all of my layouts from 2005. Yay! (I had credit for 5 books, so I just had to pay the shipping, which was about $10 a book...probably the same price I would have paid through Shutterfly or something if I didn't have to pay such high shipping. We'll see.)

I'm going to gradually do the same for all of the other LOs that I already have done for the other years, and I'm also working on my power scrapping of 2011 in PL format. I feel so awesome! Yippee!!

Well, I was shocked at how bad those layouts were (oh the shadows!!), but I put them all in books anyway because its about the memories and not necessarily how pretty the Lo looks. I'm looking forward to getting other years done because I got better at scrapping, but I'm just glad that I'm going to have some books done.
