I did this layout for my first digi-dare.
Journaling reads: So, what exactly is a girl crush, you ask?
Well, the urban dictionary defines it as
feelings of admiration and adoration which
a girl has for another girl, without wanting
to shag said girl. a nonsexual attraction,
usually based on veneration at some level.
And that is exactly what I have on Jennifer
Nettles and Sara Evans. I obsessively play
Sugarland songs and Sara Evans songs - I
want to be able to sing like they do - and I
usually belt out the lyrics, easily ignoring
the fact that I DON’T sing like they do. But,
in my world, I am a great singer and
people stop what they are doing to listen to
me sing “Return to Pooh Corner” to my
son in the grocery store. I get requests from
people in the car next to me - sing this or
sing that. Yes, I have a vivid fantasy life.
These things will never happen, so I have to
content myself with living vicariously
through these fantastic women.
