TYSE Scrap Challenge 22: The Little Things
"I remember our wedding day as a series of moments. I remember coming downstairs and seeing the missing beads on my gown. I happily sewed them while singing “I’m getting married today!”. I remember my parents air conditioning breaking on such an unusually warm June day. When we took a break from outside portraits, I came inside and stuck my head in the freezer while Janet blew bubbles in front of the fan. I remember waiting in the lobby of the church for my Nana to be seated. I remember walking down the aisle as our friends and family smiled and waved, but I only had eyes for you. I remember slipping the rings on your finger, grinning like a mad woman. I remember the limo ride to The English Manor, with my head happily resting on your shoulder. I remember walking out to the gardens and waving hello to those enjoying cocktail hour. I remember Michael walking us around to some of his favorite spots for portraits. I remember him pointing out this bench as one of his new favorite spots, and thinking how fitting it was for our relationship. I remember him posing us a bit, and then taking some natural shots. I remember this exact moment, as we both took a deep breath and laughed. We were ready to start our life together. I remember when it came time to put together our photo album, and we quickly decided that THIS would be the last shot. At this moment, we are so happy and content, relaxed and insulated from anything and everything going on in the outside world."
