I guess every mother and daughter go through this - disagreements about hairstyles and fashion. You have great fashion sense, I think. As of yet that is not an issue. But regarding your hair.... It's not that its messy and unkempt. On the contrary, you spend too much time making sure its perfectly smooth and flat against your head. You prefer it to look like you have no hair at all, whereas I am the one who wishes you would let go and get a little wild once in awhile.
Its not that we fight about it, as long as I keep my mouth shut. ha ha But every once in awhile I do mention how pretty you look with you hair down. But baby, its your hair. You're the one who has to do it (I gave up trying to help with the morning routine years ago!). And you're the one who has to feel comfortable with your appearance. So... I officially give up. If you want to wear your hair every day from now on flat up tight against your head, okay. That doesn't mean I won't mention from time to time how pretty you look with it down too. But I won't nag you about it. You look pretty with it up too. And I guess I'm on the lucky end of the spectrum as far as mom's go. For now, you want to have a clean and neat appearance. The day may come when you get truly wild and I long for you to return to this style.
Its just the way moms and daughters go, I think. But as long as you feel confident about how you look, that's all I should hope for.
You are beautiful. And that doesn't change with your hairstyle or your clothes.
